Don't say goodbye – we don't like that

Another well known and respected poster left koptalk today. But he wasn’t allowed to say goodbye to those he had shared ups and downs with over the past few years. The post where he said goodbye was deleted and then it returned but was closed, and then it was deleted again. The last time I saw it it had 39 views. So why wasn’t Legin1973 allowed to say goodbye to the few remaining koptalkers? I mean, there wasn’t much controversy in his post. Read for yourself:

Who pulled the plug?

Following on from the last comment by Revo on the previous blog post, I thought I’d let you all know how things are going over at koptalk. We’ve told you before that it’s dying a slow death with a decreasing number of members and posts. Koptalk used to be a vibrant forum with lots of good discussions and banter. This has more or less been gone the last couple of years, and most of the good posters have now left.

Stupid censorship on koptalk reaches new heights

I stumbled upon a thread last night, and thankfully I saw it before it was pulled by Dunk or his mods. More important though was that maybe as many as 50-100 koptalk members saw it before it was pulled. They must be wondering why it was pulled. There were a few names mentioned, and a link to the site where these “former” members apparently have moved to. That was all. There’s nothing special about that, appart from the fact that Dunk can’t handle members leaving. It doesn’t look good when some of the best posters suddenly decides to leave the site without notice.

I guess we’re due another blog post. The comments section gets too long when it gets too far between posts.

There’s really not much to comment these days, even though it seems Dunk is trying to kick-start his web-empire with a new “free” site and “free” forum. Inside the VIP-forum it’s so quiet that he’s had to try and keep it going by posting more himself. But the fact remains; the activity on the forums is at an all time low, and he hardly gets new members. Existing members are still leaving in numbers, and many others have just stopped posting.

Still no s*n boycott at Koptalk

One of the main points we’ve tried to show on this blog, is that unlike any other LFC websites, Koptalk doesn’t care about the boycott of the much hated newspaper “the s*n”. This is one of the most important issues we have about Koptalk, and a very good reason why Liverpool supporters should avoid Koptalk.

Kids hospital in Liverpool won't get the money, threatens charity conman

As expected, Duncan Oldham’s “Alder Hey Appeal” has turned into the “Duncan Oldham How Dare They Sabotage Us Appeal”.

How exactly have we sabotaged this then Duncan?

Have we told people they shouldn’t donate at all, or have we showed them how to donate in a much more efficient way?

Have we told people not to donate at all, or have we just pointed them to alternative ways of donating – ways which include a registered charity number?

Have we told people not to donate at all, or have we told people to consider whether or not you can be trusted with this money?

We’ve given our reasons as to why we don’t think you can be trusted.

You’ve actually given other reasons why you can’t be trusted too though haven’t you? Hacking into people’s user accounts to post as if you were them, and then pretending you hadn’t? This was this week. Over the past months we’ve shown you are a conman and a thief Oldham, and people who see why we say this will not donate a single penny if it has to go through your hands.

Is that what you mean by sabotage? Warning people about you? We’ve not told a word of a lie about you, Duncan.

Readers of this blog, current and former Koptalk members or not, might still want to give money to Alder Hey. I’ve set up a page on JustGiving.com – http://www.justgiving.com/notdunk for anyone who wants to donate now. Have a good look around that site to see how it all works. Thanks to the UK rules on “Gift Aid”, the first £25 donated was actually upped by an extra seven quid, so keep that in mind if you aren’t sure if you can afford much. Even one pound would be something, and if you’re British would be upped by 28%.

At the same time though, don’t feel pressured into giving to this particular charity. If you’ve got some new toys that you’d like to donate, why not get in touch with a hospital or other worthy cause near to home. If you’d rather give to a research charity for something that means more to you personally then again – give to that cause instead.

A lot of people left Koptalk over the course of this year – if you’ve not spent the membership money you saved yet then why not donate a little bit of it to this charity?

Whatever you do though, don’t trust Dunk. Seriously.

And Dunk, we know you read this (after all, you keep pointing it out on your site) – what did you do with all that money collected in Lauren’s name? Why were there no acknowledgements from Lauren or her family? You owe it to your readers and all those who donated, but instead you hide behind excuses that we are “attacking” you. We aren’t. And if Lauren does need any help, I’m sure a lot of ex-members of your site would still donate to her, as long as you and your mam weren’t near any of the money.

What I am going to ensure though, is that every penny that you collect gets handed over to Alder Hey. Every last one. If that happens, then I’m happy. I still think you set all of this up as part of some scam, but as long as you’ve got receipts for everything then who can complain.

And it’s not just me watching either.

We’ve been inundated with support so far but our net stalkers from other sites are now trying to sabotage the appeal. (See above. Show us proof that you didn’t steal from your disabled cousin’s appeal and we’ll be able to consider trusting you. Simple really, if you’ve nothing to hide)

As made perfectly clear in advance, we don’t want any publicity for this collective event. (Even though it’s the only part of the “members” area open to non-members.) It has also been made perfectly clear that nobody can contribute to the appeal unless they state and record their donation on the site. (We’ll come back to this.) This protects both the donator and ourselves and makes it impossible for anyone to suggest any wrongdoing as receipts would be obtained from Alder Hey. (It doesn’t make it impossible to suggest any wrongdoing. However, there are further steps you can take to minimise those accusations. And where are the receipts from the Lauren appeal?)

With them now targeting the kids (Oh – targetting the kids? We are targetting you and you alone Duncan. We even wonder if your mum is just an innocent victim in your scams, getting her name tarred with your corrupt brush. Poor Steve and Katie are also blind to what you are doing. If every penny you get goes to Alder Hey, without you taking anything out for yourself, or borrowing it for a month or two to pay bills, or swapping vouchers and gift tokens you’ve already got for cash, we’ll be happy. We expect to see receipts for the purchase of gift tokens too by the way), we’ll have a word with Alder Hey to see what they want to do because the last thing we want to do is cause the kids and their parents any stress because of these people. (Alder Hey have already been warned about you.) It’s a shame because the only people that will suffer are the kids because we’ll have some great stuff to hand over. (The kids won’t suffer – as long as you hand over every single penny. The kids, and parents, won’t be near when you prove to the likes of the Charity Commission that you’ve got all the receipts for all that you collected. Simple really – unless you’ve something to hide – so stop panicking.)

I really can’t believe that people passing themselves off as Liverpool fans could stoop so low but to target kids, some of whom are seriously ill, just to get at me, is really the lowest of the low.
(The only person passing himself of as a Red here is Duncan Oldham, childhood Leeds fans and current Newcastle season-ticket holder, who just weeks ago said he was neutral and wouldn’t care if Anfield was knocked down and turned into an Asda. Do any Reds reading this know any other Red who would say and do those things? Anyone? The predictions are true though. Dunk started this appeal knowing that we’d be concerned by his past dealings with “charity” and his public promises that weren’t fulfilled behind the scenes. The predictions made by others were that Dunk would wait for us to show our concern and then turn it into one his martyr moments. Again, how are we “targetting kids”, fatso? We are targetting you, and we’ve started an alternative collection point for anyone who wants to donate. If you aren’t looking for publicity and a few renewals on the back of this, then why can’t you see this? Watch those lies Oldham, because you’re already cracking under the strain of trying to tell so many.)

Please continue to support the appeal which we’ll run for the rest of the week (as we need to conclude it in advance of Christmas). If we don’t support Alder Hey, we’ll simply select another children’s hospice, proceed with the handover and then announce on site which hospice/hospital benefited. (The first signs of a get-out? Alder Hey might be wary of touching his money? He’s already been told he’s breaking the law? And he’s now talking about doing all this secretly? Oh dear Duncan. You are corrupt to the core and you don’t care who you exploit do you?)

Hopefully we’ll take some members with us when we take the prezzies in and we’ll get some photos purely for you guys and not for the local media! It is very important to us that we receive receipts from the benefiting hospice/hospital so that everyone knows everything was in order. (Hang on. You’ve just said that you’ll do it without announcing anything. Now you’ve got plans to take members with you. You can’t stop can you? )

Basically nobody is going to stop our attempt to try and make some kids happy over Christmas. It only strengthens and educates my way of doing things 🙂 (As we’ve said, make sure every penny that comes in is accounted for. Prove it. Make sure every purchase you make, whether it’s toys or gift vouchers, is recorded. It won’t take long. Send me the proof, and I’ll find a volunteer to check it all for me. If it all adds up we’ll report it on the blog. But while you’re at it, why not do the same over that Lauren money?)

This is one I said I’d come back to. He said, from the beginning, that he would only accept donations from people who left their name and the details of the amount on the Koptalk website. Above, in his Sunday rant, he says, “It has also been made perfectly clear that nobody can contribute to the appeal unless they state and record their donation on the site.” So why has he allowed this then?

Pedantic that I raise the issue of an anonymous donation, which is against the self-imposed rules created by the one-time Sky Card condman? Possibly, but he said he won’t let anyone donate anonymously.

I hope he remembers to include this sum in the amount of cash he’s going to eventually hand over. What’s $500 in UK sterling?

That post was made on Saturday morning at 10:30am, but by last night at 10.55pm it still hadn’t been added to the list of donations. Why not? 36 hours later and the largest donation hasn’t been included.

We’re keeping an eye on you Dunk, and we’re hopeful that by doing that we’ll stop you from turning this into a new scam. We’d love to hear the truth about Lauren’s money, but we know that we won’t, because you’ve stolen some of it. If we’d been around when Lauren’s fund first began then she’d have got every penny pledged to her, not you.

If anyone reading this is good with spreadsheets why don’t they store this information on one for us. Let’s keep an eye on things together. And you can access this appeal without being a member too remember (koptalk.coN/members). As many people as possible please keep an eye on it (watch out for posts being deleted with people having just paid via paypal for example).

One way or another, those people who’ve handed over their money must not be disappointed. Not again.

Twelfth Most Popular Liverpool Fan Site Thinks Its Huge

In his latest rant, Duncan Oldham, the sole proprietor of the twelfth (yes 12th) most popular Liverpool FC fan site believes the work of this blog to expose his exploitation of Liverpool FC fans is down to the popularity of his site, referring to Koptalk.con as “huge”.

In fact, Koptalk is not huge. It used to be able to brag about being the number one Liverpool fan site many years ago, before any other LFC sites existed, but these days Koptalk is no better than twelth according to independent rankings.

They say they pay no attention to what we say yet they debate EVERYTHING from here every day. Absolute class. It takes time to adjust to such attention. Needlesstosay we do not talk about, or report on the activities of Koptalk because it is huge, on the contrary it is small now, we talk about it because we want as many Liverpool fans as possible to be aware of this fraud and the lies that are spouted by Duncan Oldham.

Koptalk is the only Liverpool fan site, actually as far as we know it is the ONLY football fan site full stop, which charges users for participating on a forum. Which is all Koptalk is – a forum, and a bad inactive one at that. A dying community propped up daily by the ramblings of it’s owner and his family.

So Oldham we do not comment because of jealousy of your status, we comment and report on your activities as a public service.

Koptalk: Some More Traffic Charts

This is an update on my article seven days ago ranking Koptalk against other LFC related sites. I need to make a few adjustments to that article and add some charts kindly submitted by Toby.

1. I said that Koptalk ranked no higher than 8th. I think that should be 9th or 10th.

2. I said it was “far below” Shankly Gates. That may be true, but Toby has pointed out that Shankly Gates is not charted separately and cannot be distinguished from the other sites hosted by the Rivals Network. So the chart I was looking at last week was not accurate.

3. I said Talklfc was about level with Koptalk. One of the founders of Talklfc has since informed me that normally it has 60,000 unique visitors a month and, as such, clearly ranks higher than Koptalk.  But it is currently in the process of building a new site on a dedicated server due to technical problems which had the effect of dragging down its stats artificially.

4. I draw your attention to two sites I did not include in the original rankings: LFC Online which is clearly higher than Koptalk and to This is Anfield which is slightly higher.

Koptalk "Insider" Video at Melwood

The close-ups notwithstanding, you can tell their taken with zoom lens from over the fence by the sound of the traffic passing and the off-camera voice of scouser taking snaps next to Oldham. In fact he says “I’m here every day” and “they must know you by now, Dunk”. At the end of the video Oldham gives us a glimpse of the chatty scouser hauling the purple wheelie-bin.

There’s been a fair bit of discussion about the legalities of poking cams over the fence at Melwood. The following might of interest. They are two excerpts from a legal guide for UK-based photographers.

It must be comforting for members of the Kotpalk Insider to see the actual hallowed ground of the Insider Enclosure at Melwood. (The big guy with three heads on the left is not Oldham – its three young scousers minding his place on the wheelie-bin for a quid. That’s how important it is to him).

All joking aside, I quite enjoyed his little video, especially since I never paid 30 quid for it. But I don’t think I want to see too many more disjointed and foreshortened shots of barely recognisable characters in the distance kicking their balls about.

And I couldn’t really relax because I kept worrying about Dunk, the wheelie-bin, the cheekie scouser and the force of gravity.

We know Dunk doesn’t trust the wee “scallies” who blackmail him into paying them for minding his car on the rare occasions he visits Anfield. So why trust them at Melwood? If I were him I’d tow the wheelie-bin to the Pier Head behind the Mercedes. He could get his contact at the Crowne Plaza concierge desk to bring it up to his room on the lift.

What a topsy turvey world is Oldham’s!

Just a couple of months ago, Rick Parry was begging him to come over to Anfield for an urgent meeting about something Oldham had and Parry wanted; somebody else had given him exclusive tapes of Crouch talking to the S**; Steve Morgan’s people were consulting him about boardroom battles; the L4 Group in the USA and the Kraft family were constantly on the transatlantic blower keeping him up-to-date about their investment plans; he couldn’t get foreign agents and world-class players out of his hair with their confidential messages about transfer negotiations and he had to go about incognito in Liverpool to avoid the attention of LFC players who insisted on giving him the dirt on their teammates.

Steve Gerrard was a particular nuisance – always wanting to gab – and as for Dalglish – it was just as well he couldn’t speak English.

The suits were clambering to give Kotpalk official status at all LFC press conferences and other non-public events for the 2006-2007 season and his phone never stopped ringing with insider information from his army of Anfield, Melwood and Academy insiders.

And if that wasn’t enough, his real esate agents and financiers were racing ahead with the purchase of Chris Waddles 300,000 pounds house near Melwood, a downtown hotel in Liverpool and several vehicles. It was all one big happy whirl.

And now? Well look again at the photo above and the video.

Dunk Now Expiring Himself?

Dunkin Oldham has many aliases. These aliases he uses to make up outrageous pie-in-the-sky transfer stories, to post ridiculous controversial lies, to rock the boat concerning Liverpool FC management and generally to deflect criticism away from himself. He’ll deny this of course, but anyone with half a brain will know that the following users of Koptalkinsider.con are actually Dunk in his many disguises.

There are many others of course, this is how Oldham is trying to resurrect his dying website. A website which cons Liverpool fans from all around the world to signing up for non-existent services and features. Give up Oldham, you’re site is all-but-dead, you just haven’t come to terms with it yet. Give up now, saves you time and effort later.

Dunk’s new alias, not including masquerading as his young ineloquent cousin/step brother Steve of course, is Keithy27 – an alias with the SOLE intention of bringing down the current Anfield regime of Chairman David Moores and Chief Executive Rick Parry.

Of course if a Liverpool fan ran a Newcastle United website wouldn’t you want to see Freddie Sheppard ousted? After all Newcastle United haven’t won anything in donkeys years. Anyone jealous of a lack of success at their North East club? Someone is Wallsend clearly is.

So Keithy27 became a member of the site on July 27th and has since posted just 17 times since then, all related to the perceived shortcomings of the current Anfield regime.

I notice when new people pop up and you kind Sir have come right out of left field and seem hell bent on posting contentious topics which are derogatory towards the current Liverpool Set up. According to records you joined Koptalk in July of this year and suddenly within the last two weeks you have started posting negative posts. 17 in total, all to do with investment, votes of no confidence, dodgy finance info. Your timing is curious to say the least.

Lets get a petition of no confidence against David Moores., Lets hope our club gets taken over. You have not uttered a single word on footballing matters and seem to be [oops] stiring.

Oh give over. I have better things to do. Everyone knows my views on finance and I don’t need to hide behind any name to make my points known.

The member won’t be able to reply as he’s just been expired as we don’t have a private profile for him. When we update that he’ll be back.

We do know his real name and his location and after looking at his IP addresses there’s no obvious signs of any conflict of interest.

I have followed his posts mainly because of the one where he said he spoke to someone at PWC and named him, which is unusual as most people rarely drop a name because it can get people in trouble.

I’m not sure if there is an agenda but there is a pattern to the posts. Maybe he’s just passionate about the topic? He does sound anti-Moores and I don’t know why anyone would be even if you’d prefer a change at the top.

Of course we know you’re not him Duncan and you would never have to hide behind another username. If this was true then why have you been hiding behind the username of you young apprentice for the past few weeks?

Why do you want Moores and Parry out so bad? Is it because they’re putting pressure on you to stop your Melwood exploits?

I believe Keithy27 or Keith Gray is Dunk, a new persona for the self proclaimed know-it-all.

Not many people write in the style of Duncspeak, and Keithy27 surely does.

So come on Duncan now is the time for you to stop hiding behind other usernames for your controversial and unpopular views, whether it be on Liverpool FC or not.

Now is the time to show some transparency to your paying customers. Stop the lies, the unwarranted controversy for sake of controvery and please EXPIRE those fictitious usernames.
