TLW Exclusive: Alves deal off as Reds move to plan B

Dunk won’t have heard yet, unless he’s been reading the website of the TLW (The Liverpool Way) Fanzine.

The deal for Alves is seemingly off, Liverpool are now looking to sign Hatem Trabelsi, Ajax’s Tunisian international, on a Bosman.

Trabelsi is a full-back and now they are also looking to sign right-winger Jermaine Pennant and striker Dirk Kuyt in place of Alves.

Read it in full detail over at TLW – http://forum.liverpoolway.co.uk/showthread.php?t=34336

TLW never post something as news unless it really is news or more than 99.9% certain to happen. And the person who runs TLW really is friends with Jamie Carragher. And others. But he doesn’t live overlooking Melwood.

Dunk said this morning that the Alves deal was done. In fact this makes Dunk look a bit silly doesn’t it? Again.

(For a comparison of how he posted an “exclusive” then tried to change it, see this comment from Rupert earlier tonight).

Insider – obviously you did not see my post on the “Crouch” thread. I already dealt with the false Alves story. In fact since I wrote that post I’ve written to NewsNow to complain.

This is a copy of my comments earlier:

“Oops – Dunkin drops another clanger!

Today he was first quoted on NewsNow with the news that the Alves transfer was done. I couldn’t believe that he actually had a scoop. I checked with other boards – only one mentioned it – TLW. And that was a link from KT which another poster immediately denounced as bound to be false if it was from KT.

So finally I went to KT and his news page and found that he had completely re-written the story that he had publicised in NewsNow. (I will write a complaint to NewsNow)

In his new version, he said that Liverpool and Sevilla were feeding their “local sources” (not mentioning it was the Liverpool Echo) to the effect that the Alves deal was falling apart. He is now fed up with the conflicting reports (his own being the greatest single source of conflict). He made no reference to his earlier report . But I made a copy of it:

“Spanish outfit Sevilla have accepted a bid from Liverpool for Daniel Alves following weeks of negotiations.

We understand that Liverpool have agreed to fork out approximately £10.5million for the player.

Although a fee has been agreed, further negotiations are ongoing as regards how that money will be paid with Sevilla wanting a decent advance payment. The rest would be paid in instalments.

Once they agree the finer details the deal should be pushed through in no time.

Meanwhile further exits are expected at Anfield with Bruno Cheyrou the first to leave.

As reported on KOPTALK yesterday, the French midfielder has completed a move to Rennes. Official confirmation from Anfield should come through today.

Getting him and others off the wage bill will help Rafa in his attempts to sign Dirk Kuyt.”

Its already been noted on here that the Cheyrou story yesterday was featured in several outlets before KT stole it. The reference to Kuyt and Pennant is also common speculation mentioned in several outlets today before KT stole it.

His new version of the Alves story is as follows:

“Liverpool and Sevilla are both feeding their respective local news agencies conflicting information as the Daniel Alves saga continues to drag on.

Sources close to Sevilla claim a transfer fee of approximately £10.5million has finally been agreed and that all that needs to be sorted out now now is how that will be paid.

There’s no advertising in the KopTalk Gold Club!

Sources on Merseyside on the other hand claim the proposed transfer is now falling apart (possibly because of a row over how the instalments would work) with Liverpool considering pushing through a proposed move for Jermaine Pennant instead.

If Liverpool were to pull out of a move for Alves and instead signed Pennant, they would also have the cash to fund a move for Dirk Kuyt.

Insider sources reported some time ago that Pennant had already indicated he would make the switch to Anfield even though he always knew he wasn’t Rafa’s first choice this summer.

We’re becoming tired of this one now. We haven’t made it a secret that we’re concerned about the money Sevilla have been demanding. Would Pennant be a better choice? Would Alves give 100% on a cold winter’s night up in the north east when we need everyone to get stuck in?

There goes the royal “we” again. Who gives a toss what his majesty thinks about LFC’s money? Notice the “north-east” Ftreudian slip? Will someone tell him once and for all that LFC is in the NortWest.

  2. Insider Insider Says:

Apologies rupert – I had seen it, I meant to mention it in my post too.

  3. macca2 Says:

    dunk clueless as fcuk.

  4. Chunky Says:

What about ‘the wallet’ and the £8m wire transfer for a deal in the bag?

  5. macca2 Says:

thats the whole point of having an ‘alias’.

‘the wallet’ aka dunk can just disappear and pretend that it never happened.

then he will come up with replacement ‘alias’s so that he can write more b.s.

  6. Insider Insider Says:

Keep up! Wasn’t he using his “The Informer” alias for the mega-money cash transfer?

I’ve been wading through far too much bullshit lately.

  7. Fiddy Says:

Just make sure you type in .co.uk. Mr Oldham owns the .com.

  8. macca2 Says:

fatty really does not have a clue whots going on.

but lets assume the alves story IS correct.

he is still TOTALLY dependent on news feeds to provide him with his koptalk ‘exclusive’ stories. and he has absolutely NO INSIDER contact with members of the club.

  9. Ringpiece Says:

I’ve mentioned on other threads about that fat cunt and his (The Wallet’s) Alves story that was fabricated on the 22nd.
The thing is that every “scoop” he comes out with is being monitored.
I’d put one of those fuckin stupid insider smileys on this post but I’m not a prize prick.

  10. rupert Says:

Fatty’s in a panic over his Alves u-turn. Now he has a third news story justifying his previous two by pointing to the AS site which more or less says the deal is done, subject to some arguments over installments etc.

But Fatty never pointed to the AS site in his first story which had the headline that the Alves deal was done. He tried to give the impression that he had it from insiders. Secondly, he only got the AS site link from TLW site – who had the scoop on the Alves news – as Insider reported above.

Having read the AS site in the original language on TLW I think its still possible that we are witnessing some hardball bargaining by Parry and Rafa. They’ve told Sevilla what they are willing to pay for Alves. To convince them that that really is the limit they have activated Plan B. I should think if Alves and his agent put pressure on Sevilla and if Sevilla are really want to sell, then something might give.

I would like to have got Alves. Even if we had I would still like to have got Pennant – he’s not going to cost very much cash seeing Birmingham owe us some – so why not go ahead with that deal and put pressure on Sevilla at the same time.

  11. Ringpiece Says:

    Yes Rupert,
The Alves deal may still happen but it’s just the whole horseshit way that dunkin tries to make out that he’s got an exclusive.
Truth be known he hasn’t a fuckin scooby what ‘s going on!

He lives in a horseshit bubble.

  13. The Platinum Club Says:

The Informer was originally a bloke who worked for Granada. When he first signed up, he had his e-mail address on public display for a day or so. Whether that was genuine or not, who knows.
