Meeting Bull Can't Disguise That The Real Crisis Is At KopTalk

Some of you may have thought that we’d gone away. One person in particular probably hoped so. However, as so often with these things, the reality is far more prosaic: there’s simply been nothing of note to report from KopTalk.

The site’s pretty quiet, with the same round of familiar members providing the majority of posts, and Oldham himself has varied between inactivity and posting multiple YouTube videos or else attempting to stimulate debate with increasingly bizarre topics.

19/10/07 08:46 PM Have you ever seen a UFO
Dunk Administrator
I have… twice…

19/10/07 08:45 PM Have you ever seen a ghost?
Dunk Administrator
I haven’t…

19/10/07 08:45 PM Would you grass a family member up…
Dunk Administrator
… for a serious crime such as rape, murder etc?

19/10/07 08:44 PM Pepsi or Coca Cola?
Dunk Administrator
Pepsi all the way for me….

19/10/07 08:43 PM School dinners?
Dunk Administrator
Personally I thought they were great… I had a cheese ball… cheese and mash in batter, deep fried with chips and beans and a glass of milk… buzzin.

19/10/07 08:41 PM What came first….
Dunk Administrator
… the chicken or the egg?

19/10/07 08:36 PM Should the unemployed be made to work?
Dunk Administrator
I mean come on, at least keep them occupied, the scroungers that is, not the ones who have paid in all their lives or who have worked all their lives and genuinely need help. I’m talking about the scum you see tossing it off in town centres with those stupid little dogs… you know, the chav types of this world

19/10/07 08:35 PM The 9/11 bombers
Dunk Administrator
Were they terrorists, freedom fighters or U.S. Govt?

19/10/07 08:33 PM Who would win an arm wrestle between Allah and God?
Dunk Administrator
God? Allah? Or would it be draw because both arms are one?

19/10/07 08:31 PM Should homosexuals/lesbians be allowed to…
Dunk Administrator
…adopt?
Please explain why…

Riveting stuff, I’m sure you’ll agree, and the KT members responded in…well…the single figures, actually.

Perhaps that’s why he more recently reverted to the tried-and-tested method of taking a news story, interpreting it with his own guesswork, and adding his own bull about KopTalk ‘sources’.

Reports today claim that Liverpool FC’s owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks have called a meeting with Rafael Benitez to discuss the campaign so far.

It is claimed that Rafa will meet the duo at Anfield – opposed to Melwood where they initially romanced (?!) during the Honeymoon period – one day next week for talks.

There’s no way that the boss will receive the bullet at this stage of the season but KOPTALK sources (Oldham, for the hundredth time, you have no sources at Anfield, and certainly none who’d dream of betraying such confidential information) insist that the manager’s position is not as safe as some people think.

Up for debate will be the season so far and what moves, if any, will take place during the January transfer window.

If Liverpool fail to qualify for the knock-out stages of the Champions League, there is every possibility that the boss could be axed by the new owners. Failure to qualify will be seen as a financial disaster.

A sacking mid-season would be extremely unlikely but Rick Parry would have to be dispatched to try and find a replacement in time for the summer. Basically the owners need to be confident that Rafa is the man to lead us into the 2008-09 campaign.

As reported by KOPTALK several weeks ago, there have been some question marks raised upstairs about the manager’s selection policies. Those murmurs have come from some members of the board and those associated to the previous administration and not the new owners or anyone else who has recently come in.

We feel that the meeting between the owners and the manager will be fairly routine but the key difference here is the fact that this will be at Anfield and not Melwood which suggests more ‘formal’ business rather than the usual ‘tea and biscuits’ scenario. (Notice how, here, he makes it sound as if he’s privy to the inner workings of the procedures at Liverpool. It’s all guesswork and unlikely to be correct at that. He has a particular liking for the phrase ‘tea and biccies’, as he once claimed to have shared them with Gérard Houllier.)

A couple of consecutive wins and the mood should change but a defeat at home to Arsenal will pile even more pressure on, with the new owners wanting immediate progress as they have a new stadium to pay for.

Having whipped up some hysteria with this, and advertising it with the ‘crisis’ tag on the KopTalk.coN front page, he then donned his Dunk hat to have his cake and eat it by distancing himself from it all.

I don’t for one minute think Rafa would get the boot. I’m confident that this is more about meeting to discuss the near future. Others though believe it’s more of a ‘crisis’ meeting; I don’t.

If he doesn’t believe it’s a crisis, then why bill it as one? The cynical among us could start accusing him of trying to encourage new subscribers or sending his forums into a frenzy. Surely not.

Finally, who remembers his idle boast some months back that he’d booked accommodation for all the home games in the first half of the season? We’ve already demonstrated that he’s definitely not been at some, and he’s made no references to them nor provided any proof of attending. He’s saying he was there yesterday, though…

I could understand if it was a done deal for any game, but people were leaving today when everything was still up for grabs until the last second.

Just trying to understand why people would want to leave?

I leave usually in stoppage time. I push it as far as I can. Reason? Traffic. Leave at full time and it can put an extra 2 or 3 hours on my journey. Family comes first. When staying in a hotel like tonight then I’m happy to see it out but it’s all about getting home asap 🙂

Makes you wonder if he’s EVER been to Anfield with his claim it takes an extra three hours to get home if you don’t leave with one minute left. How could it? He’s pretending to still be based in the North East, but is he now saying that he gets stuck in a slow-moving convoy of Liverpool fans all the way to his Geordie home?

Chiman’s name rings a bell. Is he gullible or is he winding the chumpy bloater up?

As for another of the thick fat-bellied thin-brained lardman’s comments, how can not getting through to the next phase of the CL be considered a financial disaster to Tom and George? Tom was shrugging off the extra £100m costs of the new stadium the other day. Costs that have arisen in the space of a few months. Qualifying for the knock-out stage guarantees us two games. The extra money it brings us, while nice, is loose change to Tom and George.

Oldham’s alright as long as he’s got members who find reading scum rags like the S*n difficult. They’ll not question the obvious cock-ups Dunk makes. But more and more of his members will.

Keep digging Dunk. You need a bloody big hole to fit that gut into. Not to mention the chins.

    FLMAO at this post. Kettle……pot……..anyone?

Things at Koptalk were bad when I was there 3 or 4 months ago but the things he starts topics about are laughable. Totally confused why you’d pay £30.

  3. kraptalk_addict Says:

complete value for money, members must be patting themselves on the back with the gems they get to read on that site

  4. felix Says:

Well he has sunk to a new level by posting THAT email HIMSELF today.

Yesterday all the other LFC sites had speculation regarding it and most told members not to post it.

He did have the sense to hide the address.

But as ever he loves to knock our players.

  5. Laugher Says:

Which email (hint if it’s sensitive)?

  6. Dr Says:

“cheese and mash in batter, deep fried with chips and beans”

Is it just me or does that sound absolutely disguisting? Still it explains a hell of a lot

  7. 1892 Insider Says:

Laugher, there’s an e-mail doing the rounds with what’s supposed to be a photo of one of John Arne Riise’s payslips. From what I understand, most LFC sites have banned it from being posted and asked people not to request it. By contrast, Oldham himself posted the image on KopTalk.

  8. Laugher Says:

Thanks 1892. I heard about this. Either it’s fake or it’s a serious breach of privacy. His ISP should be told about it. That’s probably one of the reasons the other sites won’t publish it.

Someone should post a pic of Dunk’s pay slip, showing where all his money was creamed from.

  10. Jt1983 Says:

” but Rick Parry would have to be dispatched to try and find a replacement in time for the summer.”
That would be the same Rick Parry that Dunk claimed he was asked to help replace then!! The guys a fool.

  11. Nick Says:

I was happy to see Dunk post the picture of Riise’s wage packet. Nothing wrong with that. Its interesting to see how much players really get instead of listening to the media guess it.

But anyway I came back to ask a question. Now its abundantly clear you have won your war on Koptalk: hardly any members posting and next to no gossip what are you all going to do with all this free time?

In case you ask: I am not renewing, but I am keeping my memebrship till in runs out in Feb assuming they dont close sooner.

  12. onefinalpush Says:

@Nick: “what are you all going to do with all this free time?”

Thats a tough question lol. Maybe get back to real life issues? haha

“but I am keeping my memebrship till in runs out in Feb assuming they dont close sooner.”

Maybe you could donate your membership to the blog?

  13. Tubby Says:

This is not over until it’s over. The pressure on the fat man needs to be kept up. Turn up the heat fellas. Not enough posts lately.

We are being lulled into a false sense of security.

  14. 1892 Insider Says:

    Nick,

As we divide the workload quite effectively between ourselves, then I don’t think it has a significant impact on my free time either way. It takes only a few minutes to check KT for useful material, especially given Oldham’s current level of (in)activity.

    Tubby,

Believe me, we continue to monitor KT as closely as in the past. It’s just that, in comparison with even a few months ago, Oldham has scaled back his personal participation in the site.

There could be any number of reasons: outside interests, boredom, a belated realisation that his lies killed KopTalk… Whichever it is, we can only report on what happens. There really has been so little to say. Rest assured that we haven’t slowed down in our efforts.

  15. Tubby Says:

Looking at the pics from the latest post, if I had his nugget I’d be in hiding as well.

Well done guys, keep it up, doing a great service for this great club. That goes to everyone who reads this blog and refuses to join that krap shite of a site.
