Tough luck boys

We aren’t an LFC fan site. But we are LFC fans.

I’m gutted, but at the same time I see it as a pivotal moment we’ll all look back on in years to come. The night Tom and George saw that they couldn’t dream of holding back on any of that funding. The night we said goodbye to the old regime and brought in the new.

Hopefully the changes will all be for the better.

And in Moscow in 2008 we’ll bring number six home, to sit alongside League title number 19.

YOU’LL NEVER WALK ALONE.

    thanks Mr Insider.
Rafa will have a Shankly moment now he’ll clear out the deadwood and bring in the quality we need to go that extra step.

When you get to as many European Cup finals as we do, you bound to lose the odd one. Onwards and upwards.

mornings Like this I really hate football.

Working in Manchester is not going to be good today

  3. Didihno Says:

Indeed. I’m so very very dissapointed.
It was a forgetable game played by two teams more afraid of losing. Milans glorious rhetoric afterword was hilariously funny compared to their actual performance.

As for your comment about how the new owners will see what needs to be done, you may be right but lets just hope that they don’t start their reign by cleaning house as Rafa’s whole gameplan was typically and hopelessly wrong from the outset. Yanks are known for kneejerk reactions and if I were Rafa I’d be creaming myself with worry this morning.
He made a complete mess of going about beating a very ordinary Milan outfit.

  4. sh#t waffle Says:

Wow, I really hate to do this as this isn’t really the forum for it, but Didihno, your post is the wrongest ever. Ever.

  5. dataimaginary Says:

Sorry Didihno Rafa’s plan was spot on. We completley controlled the game until the 44th minute.
They then get a flukey deflected goal from only the second attack they had all half. That’s football.

If you look at the possesion nearly the entire first half was played in the final (milan) third of the pitch.

And this “very ordinary” Milan outfit absolutely creamed the english champions. jeez what bollocks some people spout.

Didihno = WUM or berk. take your pick.

  7. RedinSweden Says:

Didinho, that is a whole sack of wrong.

I totally agree with II’s verdict. While I was close to tears at losing last night, a victory might have masked the problems that are clearly there. Rafa’s currently using his tactical know-how to get a lot from a team which lacks real quality in several key areas. This summer will be an interesting one — in many respects.

  9. ENG FREDERICK MUKETI Says:

THE KOPS PLAYED WELL BUT THE COACH’S SIDELINING CROUCH TILL LATE WAS THE UNDOING. I SAW MANY HIGH BALLS IN THE MILAN AREA GO BEGGING OR WON BY AC MILAN DEFENDERS. THAT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN SO IF CROUCH WAS IN. WHEN CROUCH WAS A POOR SCORER ALWAYS FIELDED HIM. NOW THAT HE IS BETTER HE IS A PERMANENT BENCH BOY. HE PROVED HIS WORTH BY FLICKING THE SECOND LAST TOUCH AERIALLY FOR THE CONSOLATION GOAL.

  10. Ian Says:

Some of the comments on the EST thread about the trouble last night are disgraceful particularly by Disco.

    Ian
I’ve not seen them, but if he runs true to form, he’ll probably claim that he was drunk when he made them.

  12. Andy Says:

More than 24 hours have passed since our biggest match of the season, which Oldham claimed he was attending, and still not one poster on KT has asked him about the game.

It’s as if they all know he wasn’t actually there and are too embarrassed to put him on the spot. It’s very strange indeed.

He has even claimed to still be in Athens a couple of times but no one is asking the obvious questions, for some unfathomable reason.

I realise he’s a semi-literate halfwit who knows next to nothing about football but surely, especially in view of the bizarre “what’s your take take on this, o mighty Dunk?” brown-nosing which goes on on KT every day, someone somewhere should have asked him for his opinion.

Can’t wait to see what bullshit he comes out with when the members who did attend arrive back and start talking about their experiences.
