A quick round-up and update on the Koptalk.coN Alder Hey appeal.
Just to recap. Duncan Oldham, owner of Koptalk collected money for charity for his disabled cousin, Lauren, until this summer. He never showed anyone any proof that she got any of the money. We pressed him about it on here. Members asked him about it. He was warned about the site he was using, which was taking money in his mother’s name (originally it was done in his name). The site was closed down and redirected to Scope.
Duncan Oldham still refuses to provide even a small amount of evidence that the thousands of pounds collected in Lauren’s name actually went to her. The bike he was trying to collect money for has never been seen. He’s taken photos of her collecting her first car and shared them with readers, but shared nothing with readers about where their money went. If he’s nothing to hide, why is he hiding everything.
His reputation as a liar has spread far and wide. Go to any Liverpool website (except Koptalk). Ask what they know about Duncan Oldham and Koptalk. You’ll be told about a liar and thief. A conman. Someone who hates our club, or at least carries out acts that suggest he does. He still lies about his knowledge of the S*n boycott. If anyone criticises him he gets all high and mighty about it, then lies a bit more. He sells dodgy “signed” Liverpool merchandise, something we are still investigating. He bans members and refuses to refund any money (although since trading standards have been monitoring him he’s started to give refunds again – if you’ve not had one yet, put your request in now!) His claims to have contacts inside Anfield and other LFC facilities have been proven to be false claims, confirmed by the club themselves. His claims to have regular meetings with Rick Parry, likewise. He’s been promising a book since who-knows-when which he says will expose Anfield. He’s taken (he claims) thousands of £5 deposits for the book that he’s not even started yet. The book that was due out some time ago.
So – all things considered – would you trust him to pass your money on to Alder Hey? I wouldn’t, obviously. And he changed the rules the other day too. Now, it seems, the money might not go to Alder Hey, it might go to another hospice or hospital, but we’ll not find out which until he’s given the money over. Why? What is he frightened of? I’ve no plans to turn up at Alder Hey with a banner protesting against his dodgy collection.
All I want is this. Anyone who’s not yet donated, please donate directly, or through the www.justgiving.com/notdunk address. Anyone who has donated, keep an eye on that Alder Hey forum. Make sure your entry on there stays on there. Anyone who’s good with figures – keep an eye on it for us. As long as Dunk doesn’t make any money out of this, and the kids get EVERY PENNY, we’re not too bothered. But we do want to see some proof of what happened to the missing thousands collected for Lauren.
We just need to keep on his back otherwise he’ll try something on. It’s what he does.
Here’s two posts from Koptalk on the subject…

He mentioned somewhere that he wanted to buy the products himself then the staff didn’t have to go out and buy it – but surely the staff know best just what is needed. Sorry, keep forgetting, “Dunk Knows Best”.
We’ll keep on keeping an eye on this appeal, if every penny gets to its intended target (not Dunk’s back pocket) then I’ll be quite happy to announce it on this blog.
Still doesn’t look likely though – that $500 donation is still not included on the list of donations. Perhaps it was never made?
