Scraping the barrel

Koptalk gets quieter and quieter these days. And no less strange either. For some reason it’s big news that Doug Ellis was in the directors’ box yesterday. Dunk’s asked why was Doug Ellis in the directors’ box and doesn’t answer. He’s no idea why of course, having no contacts at all at the club.

I also noticed that the last post in his “Exclusive reports from Melwood” section was back when we played Galatasaray. Standing on ladders taking photos over the fence seems to have come to a sudden end. Then again Steve’s seemingly disappeared too, I’ve not spotted anything from him since his crappy video news clip. Which is another short-lived Koptalk feature.

Again a low number of visitors online whenever I look, and although it’s not dropping much it’s not rising either. 70 was number the last couple of times I checked.

It’s quiet now even though international week’s over. Oldham claimed that was the reason why they were overrun with tumbleweed on Koptalk when asked last week. If so then why is it no busier this weekend? The big post today on the so-called Liverpool FC website? Oldham talking about his young son going to watch Newcastle. Oldham talking about how he’ll be watching it on the bit of kit he bought when he still had members and a lot of Lauren’s money. The plasma telly and the Sky HD system. He claimed he only bought his Newcastle season ticket for the sake of taking his son to the matches, so why’s he not gone himself?

Well my lad’s gone to the match. He’s all kitted out bless. (He’s six!). I’m gonna watch it on SKY HD which I’ve had for a while but I’m yet to really see any HD games to fully benefit.

Just watching the pre-match build up and I must admit I like listening to Jamie Redknapp. He has a lot of confidence and isn’t biased IMHO.

Out of all the players on display I’d only have Parker, Anelka and possibly Nolan. Shay Given (out injured) is a fantastic ‘keeper mind so I’d have that lad at Anfield any day and over Pepe.

Great vote of confidence for Pepe there from the “man” who claimed Salif Diao got too much criticism from “the local media”.

The way Oldham likes to say one thing one day and then contradict himself the next is not because he’s a hypocrite. It’s because he’s thick. He lies all the time, even to himself, which isn’t the best thing in the world to do if you’re a dopey type. His lies on a Monday will be contradicted on a Tuesday because he’s not got the sense to check what he said on the Monday. If it’s a big lie like saying Peter Crouch talks to the Sun or Robbie Fowler is an alcoholic, he sometimes remembers, but for the smaller lies he completely forgets. Over the years it’s been little trouble for him to be a thick liar – he deletes his own old posts regularly and bans anyone who questions him. The posts where he’s questioned will stay briefly with him saying what he wants to say, conveniently changing history after hiding the previous evidence. He got away with it until this blog came along because this blog keeps a record of his past bullshit.

His lack of any real common sense, tallied with his low intelligence, means he’s not realised that this year, for the first time, his lies won’t work. He still thinks it will blow over, like it has done every other time there’s been a, well for want of a better word, revolution. In the past people left in droves to join new sites built to replace his. By droves we might be talking of around three-or-four hundred members at the most, with Oldham making sure none of his members got to know about the upstart sites. This happened every few years, and thanks to the dubious help of News Now and more lies he’s always managed to bounce back. Not this time.

I’ve seen over 100 members online on his site only twice in the last two weeks. I’m more used to seeing around 70 members online. For a site which he still claims has thousands of members that’s a poor turnout. At least 2000 members (otherwise it’s not thousands)? And there are never many more than 125 online, usually around half that?

Times are getting tough now. He’ll never be able to get away with a big money-making scam again in the Koptalk name. His sales of fake so-called signed merchandise won’t stand up to this blog and its contributors and readers keeping an eye on him. His ticket-touting won’t happen again unless he does it in secret, and that’s if he’s got anyone left to get tickets from. As for taking money from dodgy “charity” collections, well it just won’t happen again without him being prosecuted. At least it won’t happen in the Koptalk name. If he wants to pack bags at Asda for the local scouts group then take the money for himself then that’s something we’ll not be likely to mention on here. He can’t even make money by collecting for charity at his book-signing. That’s because Anfield Exposed never will come out. Never.

So with times hard, it’s time to start thinking about dropping features. And that’s a strange one too. We know he never actually buys the tickets for the lottery that he says he does. His Gold Club lotto competition is one of his scams. He bought the tickets once and scanned them in after we told him to on here (not that this blog bothers him). Only once though, since then he’s gone back to not bothering. This week he’s convinced even himself that it’s not a scam, and posted this. Clearly sounds worried about money right now…

The money we plough into this is crazy. I’m going to freshen our options up a bit.

So 25 quid a week, 100 quid a month, is crazy money? For a site as succesful as Koptalk? Or is there something you’re not telling Oldham? You run a site so busy that the sign-ups in the summer were enough for you to commit to a one-grand-a-month webserver, just for one forum. The money bought you a new camcorder and digital stills camera. So with all this success, why is £100 a month too much to spend?

We know the truth, you know the truth. After spending all the money you’d got from stealing Lauren’s charity collection, and having had to stop selling fake goods and even losing the fortune you got from ticket touting, you’re skint. Koptalk.coN brought in a bit of dosh through ads, but it’s gone now. Even the bits of the “insider” site that had ads have gone. Let’s say you’ve got as many as 250 members now in the “members club”, how many have renewed or joined in the past month? I bet you’ve not had 20 new members in the last month. And as membership money is now your only income, that’s just £600. So it’s no wonder the £100 for lotto tickets shits you up. And how much of that goes to the CPS? That trip to Malta’s looking a bit out of reach now too isn’t it?

Go and resurrect your Newcastle site. Leave Liverpool alone, give the club back to the real Liverpool fans. The Geordies might get onto you too, but at least we’ll leave you alone then. Probably. You’ll get a couple of years out of them if you’re lucky, but from a Liverpool point of view well, it’s time to call it a day Oldham, before you mess it up any more.

Will the penny drop? Whilst you’ve still got pennies to drop?

One other thing – if you still had a small doubt somewhere in the back of your mind that free live football online was a good reason to ignore the S*n-love, and a good reason to remain unworried by the complete lack of exclusive information for the £30 entrance fee, read the following exchanges. This is the full contents of what went on the football feeds sections of Koptalk this weekend. Dunk (pretending to be “Mohan”) gave his usual myp2p.eu link – the height of his knowledge on football streams. The streams he slagged off on his own podcast one night as being awful quality and difficult to watch. Intelligent boy that he is. I’ve not edited the following, I just thought it might be a good insight for those of you who have been banned from Koptalk and have been wondering what you’ve been missing. Nothing…

I am still a member and luckily have not had a problem although one of my mates has not been able to log in for a about a week…

Red Al has left and basically the site is controlled by Scots and they are the priority now…

for instance they have 2 live games on saturday at 3pm and one will definately be either Rangers/Celtic with the other either us/chelsea/arsenal…

whereas once we were guaranteed to be on every game../this does not happen anymore unless it is a live game on sky and does not clash with any other….

still excellent coverage and good quality and guaranteed english commenary but that personal touch when Al was around has unfortunately gone….

I recently let my subs to LFO run out as I had just recently signed up to TASS.

There really is no comparison in the service provided by the two sites. TASS is more expensive at £5 a month or £23.50 for 6 months, but like most things in life you get what you pay for. The picture quality is first class and I have yet to experience any serious buffering.

In fact the picture quality is so good at times that I have been able to watch the footie in a window that takes up 3/4 of my 19inch monitor.

They don’t guarantee to show all the LFC matches, but I’ve yet to miss one this season yet.

This is not designed to be a sales pitch for their site but if you do sign up give me a mention

Its not the subs going up that i have an issue with – i have known for a while
it is demanding more money from me to reinstate my account i have an issue with – okay i only have 10 days left but i have paid for those( and yes i admit freely that i have had my moneys worth and tehn some) but it is a princible
I though i might have to pay 15 quid to renew but was hopping that they kept there 9 quid for life promise for those hwo paid that to start with
I know theyt have had changes at the top/peopl;e running the show
I just want to watch England and liverpool and i can do it for free on teh net ( harder to find the streams now)

My gripe is not the pay hike but how they told me, they should reinstate my account ( i have provide proof of payment via email) and then send me an email informing me that the price has gone up and why – then i can decide weather to pay the 15 quid or look at else where, tass or netet etc.

I have emailed them and hope they have teh decency to reply

Mate, I have had pretty much exactly the same experience. I received an email from blytheblue which was out of order. consequently, I’ll not be renewing my subscription with them.

I’ve never tried TASS but I’m going to sign up to it as soon as I get my paypal account fixed. I’ve heard good things about them so I’ll see what the fuss is about. Now might be a good time to get a 6 month subscription seeing as there are no internationals for 5 months.

Tass has day, week month and year subscriptions
but there is also another site called tvnettet ( type that into google for a link)
they are supposed to be good as well – they do 1 day trial mebership for 1.50 quid and a year is 39.40
(they do 3 day , 1 week, 1 month, 3 month, 6 month as well)

They have a lot of sport and movies and will get any thing requested
I have NOT watched this yet but some of teh lads in work swear by it to watch the Cricket ( i know waht a waste – but they are Australians working on a Cricket game)
Think i will check out them both and report back

I just replied to another thread on LFO, but want to make it known to all who look that i have had the same poor experience with LFO recently, they were excellent to begin with last year but this blublythnose character came across as a total T**T when i emailed him, really condescending and didn’t give a [oops]. I won’t be renewing for sure. It’s amazing what a difference a little civility and politeness will do!!!

not really bothered TBH about LFO ive had around 3 months to go with there subscription but ive let it run without using it as even P2P links are better. Im sorry but there excuses sometimes annoyed me like with the H264 codec and upping the bitrate. The pic quality is poor but ive found another site to get my streams from, but if LFO are going to get popular they need to get the pic quality sorted

Yes mate. If you’ve installed ppstreams software just click on the link on the streaming website (at the start of this thread) – ppstream and guandong (there’s 2 links). It’ll ask if you want to launch ppstream software. Do so and off you go!

Hi
Username – christhepool

Surprised your asking me for a password in open correspondence. Surely your system will give you that?

Same type of thing happened to me today, i asked very politely for some assistance as my winamp wouldn’t come on automatically, was told in no uncertain terms ‘open your eyes and look on the homepage, they are very simple instructions’, thanks for that arsehole!!

whats this about touting, have no recollection of him doing that…

  2. cochyn Says:

on one hand i would like to see KT closed down as the plastic ass needs to be slapped down, on the other hand i hope stays online so that you guys can continue to expose the stupiduty of one man, i find your expositions highly amusing

  3. Ian Randyman Says:

Funny when you say that 70 members are online! Id say that 50 of them are all insider-insider supporters!! This time next year when all our membership expires, koptalk will be no more. What will happen our slimy friend Dunk however. Heres hoping the proper authorities get hold of him.

  4. what a whopper Says:

He blamed the internationals for the lack of posts last week.

Yesterday the place was vitrually empty on a matchday morning. It was buzzing this time last year.

It’s embarrising at times on there, most of the page of threads are started by Dunk!

  5. Fat Controller Says:

Don’t care what anyone says. No self respecting Liverpool fan would EVER let his son support another club. Disgraceful.

  6. LSM Says:

Dunk is not a Liverpool fan. Simple really.

  7. Toby Says:

May be worth monitoring new registrations to see how his community is ‘growing’. I believe they have consecutive id numbers so shouldn’t be too difficult to see how many a day are flocking to the site.

  8. Jens Says:

I guess the reason why there are so few online visitors is because they’ve been locked out for no reason as myself. I renewed my membership in august, and then got locked out three weeks ago when they restructured the website. Got a help ticket saying it was low prio but that I would soon be back in. Yeah right!!! And I’ve never even offended the fatty or his website. Any way I can get my money back? They don’t answer my e-mails….

  9. Andy Says:

Jens – this thread on est1892 may be of help.
Look for posts by McWar after post 50.

  10. silentbutdeadly Says:

I can’t believe how gullible the people who pay money to koptalk are. They are also prepared to spend money on Internet feeds that are widely available for nothing.

I’ve changed my mind about Oldham*. These people are knobs and deserve everything they get.

    *Have I fuck.

  11. Bobo Says:

Anyone else tried to get into Koptalk today? Ive tried all day and the site is down Has Oldham done a runner and shut down shop?

  12. Ron Nasty Says:

    http://www.lfcwire.com/

For all LFC news repoted by websites. ……… Except Dunkins

  13. rupertinsider Says:

The person behind http://www-lfcwire.com is known to the blog and is a genuine supporter. He tells me he set that site up in response to the blog article calling for a Koptalk-free site. Other people are also working on similar sites. I will post a follow-up to the article when I have soemthing definite to report.

  14. An Observer Says:

Anyone know why koptalk is down so much lately despite costing over a grand a month to host?

  15. rupertinsider Says:

Maybe its collapsing under its own weight.

  16. RedinSweden Says:

I really wish I had access to KT now. I love to watch tumbleweed rolling across the plains.

  17. fat_boy_fat Says:

HAs anyone been on KT youtube website??? HA what a joke!

It has been up for a month and its got a MASSIVE 26 subscribers.

And according to the profile its setup by a 50 year old from Liverpool. Oh Oldham dont you ever learn??? The more things you do lik this make you look even a BIGGER loser fatty twatty thickie.

    http://www.youtube.com/officialkoptalk

  18. Insider Insider Says:

Touting – I can’t reveal too much on here because I said I wouldn’t, but more than one victim of his touting has been in touch with me.

He basically sold them tickets for particular “big” Liverpool games for prices in four figures.

Maybe those who were victims will write back to me and ask me to reveal what went on – at the time they were still Koptalk members, he still had their personal details and they were afraid of reprisals.

I’ll not reveal more than that for now – I didn’t mention it at all until I got more than one victim, because then I knew he couldn’t identify who’d said something.

It’s all done off the forums by the way – or it would be started off on the forums then done by email. He knows it’s a shitty thing to do, but he knows he’ll always be able to find someone willing to pay so much.

  19. LSM Says:

lets keep the viewing numbers on this one up folks, until I get another one done:

  20. Koptalksucks.com Says:

    Also re: Touting

Take a look at this post of Dunk’s I put on Kraptalk way back in April: http://kraptalk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=295&highlight=#295 (Maybe I-I could investigate this incident abit further if he hasn’t already)

    Just re-read it myself and here are a few quotes that stood out for me;

“We are still saving for a plasma tv for her annexe (as this would be on the wall it gives her more room for her chair).”

“I must stress that I would never part with the tickets at face value for the simple reason that I would attend the match myself and make a donation instead. However, purely because this is technically a charity auction, the tickets will be offered under a sealed auction process.”

“The tickets will not be sent out until close to the final to try and prevent people selling them on for even more money.”

  21. Rahul Kumar Says:

    hey guys

thanks for pointing me to TASS

    http://www.tvandsportstreams.com

As a USA red fan it was impossible to follow them , now i get to watch every game and the quaity is excellent. Plus its hardly 3quid a month

def a huge thanks to the original poster 🙂
