He does of course know how it’s so “popular”. Because, like he did with polls on the net when polls on the net were new, he fiddled it.

iTunes Podcast Ranking System Easily Manipulated

It looks like iTunes doesn’t record how many people are actually subscribed to a podcast but rather how many times the button is pressed. This makes the iTunes ranking as irrelevant as a list because just about anyone can change the results in iTunes by simply clicking on subscribe button 20 or 50 or 100 times.

    Not really. Liverpool FC was one of Googles top 15 search terms in the UK and it’s not like there are that many even half decent pod casts to listen to. You are assuming that it’s a false reading.
