Koptalk site gets the "hit" due to no "hits"

WibbleIt’s getting crazier and crazier in Koptalk’s shed tonight. Dunk is madly going through his website and breaking it. He can’t afford to keep it running now, seeing as he’s lost all his members. And if he can’t play with his toy he’ll break it. It’s as if he’s decided that rather than set a 500 quid hitman to attack the people behind the blog, he’ll assassinate what’s left of his site. All because it’s getting next to no hits.

koptalk.o*g has gone. koptalk.coN is going, and rapidly. Last time I checked, he’d got rid of most of the links on the left hand side of his page, replacing them with links to the forums on his insider/gold club site, which is now his “members” site.

The links on the top all now mainly go nowhere, except of course for the betting one, which still goes to BlueSquare. Boycott BlueSquare, they’ve been told about Dunk and still continue to pay him about 25 quid everytime someone registers for their site after clicking one of his ads. BS doesn’t just stand for Blue Square.

Two pages that have gone in aftermath of his mad site destruction are the Hillsborough page and the Michael Shields page. He didn’t want them on his site at all really, because they divert money away from him.

Even koptalk.in*fo has been altered. What’s interesting is that the £10 quid off for cash offer has disappeared in the light of him crapping himself about being caught.

At http://www.koptalk.in*fo/paymentoptions.shtml you get this crap now –

“Thanks for choosing to support KopTalk by making a donation towards our running costs.

KopTalk is totally independent which means we have to finance the running of our network ourselves. Everyone who works on KopTalk is a Liverpool fan, none of us receive a wage as such although with your contribution, we might be able to buy a few pies and treat ourselves to the odd pint! The majority of revenue received is ploughed back into the website to cover expenses and to make improvements.”

Aimed at the authorities by any chance?

Then he’s got this. How to join by post, with none of that cash-in-hand stuff mentioned now, in case the authorities are watching. Pity they can get the old version of the page from caches. Thick Dunk doesn’t think they can –

“We will soon be relocating to West Derby, Liverpool so our address will be changing at some point during the 2006-07 season but until the move happens, you can use the following address. To join by post, send a cheque made payable to KOPTALK.COn for £30.00 and send to:…”

It’s funny how it’s only the last couple of days that he’s started to refer to West Derby. Anyone would think he only found out in the last couple of days what the suburb of Liverpool was called where Melwood is located.

Meanwhile, on what’s left of the forums, Dunk was pretending to be Steve. There is no doubt whatsoever that the words in these posts are Dunk’s words, not Steve’s. Dunk’s not posted using his own name since Sunday morning, obviously some part of a cunning plan.

The thread in question was started by a member who was worried that the cost of renewal would be wasted if Dunk changed the rules. There’s also a worry from the poster that the type of member seen on the “free” site would invade the cosy world of the Gold Club. One of Dunk’s selling points of the Gold Club has always been that people with money to spend on a sub are better people than those on the free site!

We’re doing away with koptalk.com and koptalk.org to enable us to concentrate all our time on our members here.

What we plan for 2006-07 are regular updates from Melwood. We’re currently purchasing a property in West Derby and should be based there before the year is out. This prime location will enable us to grab more photos and report back how the lads are doing etc.

We’re trying to reduce the number of forums and concentrate more on quality not quantity.

Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to email me direct steve@koptalk.com

As you know our forums are heavily moderated. We decided this summer to arm ourselves with riot gear and wade in to stop any form of stupidity.

From 1st Sept we started moderating the forums 24/7. This means that a member of our staff is online at ALL times. We will not tolerate any form of stupidity. We want a laugh etc but we don’t want idiots and I can assure you this isn’t the place for them.

It’s never a problem

We’re also looking at making things more easier and we hope to provide more realistic content. (More easier? More realistic content? Is that an admission that the stuff in the past wasn’t actually real? It was fake?)

We are currently talking to the Press Association (of course you are – and paying them for the years of content you stole too I take it?) and others about providing professional match reports and audio style updates which would be available each day of the week. The costs are quite high but if it’s something that we feel you will like we will introduce them. (You won’t unless you can fiddle a way of getting them free)

We’re doing away with KopTalk because it takes up too much of our time. We believe our members here deserve our full attention

No we’re not doing away with our member site. We’ve decided that all of our time and effort should be dedicated to the people who really support us. Rather than moderating the .org forums and updating the .com site, we’ll be here for all our members. With us moving to West Derby, providing this property slae goes through ok, it is important that we look after the people who made it possible in the first place. (How long will he pretend he’s moving to Chris Waddle’s house before he has to pretend it fell through?)

We just don’t have the time to monitor 3 different sites and priority must be here

Well that’s one of the problems you’ve got when you ban nearly half your members, and nearly half your members walk. You’ve only got a few left, some of whom are only there to make cryptic jokes at your expense, now they know what a fat loser you are.

Dunk’s decision to stop posting as himself and to post as “ST3” is probably part of his cunning plan. He’ll complain we are taking the piss out of a teenager next – even though it was him doing the writing.

New forum means new change to plug the “acceptable use policy”. It’s worth looking at it again. This probably started off being ripped from another site, but over the years more restrictions have been added to ensure that one member doesn’t point out to any other member that Koptalk are ripping their visitors off. This was inside the members area, so chances are you’ll not know about this crap until you’ve shelled out that money. Would anyone, I mean ANYONE, want to pay 30 pence for a site with rules like this?

Contributing To Our Forums

#1633307 – Tue Sep 05 2006 06:47 PM Reply

This Acceptable Use Policy is intended to help create an atmosphere in which freedom of speech is balanced by self-discipline and a mature attitude to discussion. We politely ask that all who participate on our network abide by the guidelines set out below.

All chat sessions and the discussion forums are moderated 24/7 to help you to get the most out of participating in online discussions and to ensure that these rules are observed. The moderators’ decision is final at all times.

Participation will require a username and password, chosen at time of registration. You must not represent yourself as another person.

You are personally responsible for anything you post on any part of the KopTalk network. Every message posted leaves a traceable IP address which basically means in serious cases of abuse we can contact your Internet Service Provider to obtain your details should we or any other readers wish to take any kind of civil or legal action against you. If any form of abuse or spamming is traced back to an ISP, workplace or college we may contact the source to request that such activity stops. (That’s his new rule – post anything he doesn’t like, he’ll ring you at work. Sad thicko hasn’t had a job himself all his life, but he’s not even going to have Koptalk soon the way he’s carrying on.)

Messages should not be malicious or designed to offend. In particular, the use of swear-words or undue profanity is not acceptable. In particular, you must ensure that you do not say or post anything which is harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libellous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable. (However Koptalk can put as many porno ads on as they like. Do as we say, not as we do.)

Your message should be within the scope of the subject(s) under discussion. Reference should not be made to the personality of other participants in a discussion nor should attacks be made on an individual’s character unless the person concerned has already chosen to bring his or her personality into the issue under discussion. You should remember that you are legally responsible for what you post. (And that legally responsible stuff applies to you as well Duncan. Being thick is no defence for posting illegal clips when pretending to be “NJRED” or whoever. You post it, you are responsible, no matter which disguise you had on.)

You must ensure that your contribution does not harm minors in any way; does not breach any applicable law or regulation; is not transmitted in breach of any applicable contractual or fiduciary duty (such as a duty to keep it confidential); does not infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, database right or other similar right of any party. (So what the hell are you doing ripping interviews off Sky Sports and goals off Premier League games shown on overseas TV? Ban yourself Dunc(e).)

By participating in a discussion, you undertake to indemnify KopTalk and our partners, sponsoring bodies, and our employees and subcontractors against any liability arising from any breach of confidentiality, copyright or other intellectual property right published by you on this site and against all damages, losses, claims and costs (including, without limitation, all expenses incurred in conducting or defending any proceedings) arising from any such publication. You must not make statements that are libellous, obscene, seek to incite racial hatred or otherwise break the laws of the United Kingdom. (Racist? That was you in the summer Dunk or have you forgotten?)

No advertising is allowed unless you have been given permission by KopTalk. Our contact details can be located at http://www.koptalk.info

Absolutely no website links may be posted on any part of the KopTalk network without the permission of KopTalk except links to any official football club websites, national newspaper websites (e.g. The Mirror, The Times, The Independent, The Guardian) and other mainstream media outlets such as The BBC, Sky Sports, ITV, Sky News, Ananova, Sporting Life, Press Association, Eurosport. Anyone posting links to any sites that do not fall within these categories will have their account closed without notice. This is due to restrictions placed on us by certain advertisers and because we do not want to appear to endorse certain websites that may contain material not suitable to minors (Liar – as has been said on here before, you stop any other site’s URL being posted because you are worried they’ll talk about you on those sites, and that your visitors will learn the truth about you. These are those “rival” sites you never shut up about.)

Without prejudice to our general rights we reserve the right to block or remove any material at any time without notice or explanation. (Especially if it’s someone asking where the exclusive news is.)

If a person has sent you a private email you may not forward it to others without the prior consent of the person who sent it. This does not prevent you forwarding private e-mails to KopTalk should you consider this appropriate. (Dunc(e) – you’ve got no right to tell person (b) what they can do with an email from person (a) – it’s not your “jurisdiction”, so keep out of it. Your members are cleverer than you, and won’t stand for such crap. You show yourself up.)

You may report offensive posts or breaches of this Acceptable Use Policy by contacting support via http://www.koptalk.i*nfo or by using the notify moderator facility. Click on the appropriate image which can be found under every post made on our network.

Images must not be included in signatures as this slows down the loading of pages when others view them

Avatars must be non offensive and appropriate for viewing by all minors.

The location field under your name must be a geographical location such as Liverpool, Leeds, London, UK, Norway.

If you post any abuse aimed at others including the moderators and any other KopTalk staff, your account will be closed without notice. (And abuse is a very loosely defined term – as we’ve seen for some time now on Koptalk)

Should you post your email address on our forums you are likely to be spammed by our rivals who lurk here. (Great to see we’ve made it into the AUP. He still calls us rivals because he thinks it makes us sound like we are beneath him.) If you are seen requesting email addresses from others, your account may be closed without notice. (Because, to put it simply, he is frightened to death of any member speaking to another member without him being able to control it in some way. That’s why PMs were scrapped from his sites. His guilty conscience gets the better of him and takes away part of the fun of using a forum.) If you wish to contact another member, please contact KopTalk support and we will contact that member on your behalf and ask if they wish to be put in contact with you. (No you won’t because you’ll worry that they’ll talk about you with each other.)

If you post content on our network we will assume that you have permission to do so. If you do not have such consent and we are notified of such offences, we will remove the content and your account may be closed without notice. (Hasn’t he already covered this once?)

If your account is closed because of failing to respect our very simple rules you will forfeit your right to any refund. (Ah – the get-out clause. Dunk, you can’t use this unfortunately because nobody, up until now, signed up to this crap. Forget it, admit it, you need to make a lot of refunds. Sell your car if you have to, but pay those people back the money you stole.)

Should you require support at any time, please open a support ticket at http://www.koptalk.i*nfo or call us. The same applies if you wish to contact any KopTalk staff member. The forums are not for support purposes. (Except for that forum you created for support purposes. You really are stupid aren’t you?)

By virtue of your participation on our network, you are deemed to have agreed to abide by these rules. (Wrong! Every time you change the rules you have to inform your members. If they want a pro-rata refund at that stage because they don’t agree with those rules then they should get it. Stop trying to avoid it!)

Our privacy policy can be located here:

http://www.koptalk.com/detail_subtitle.php?subid=140 (actually it can’t – you broke that too in your mad wrecking spree. Instead of a privacy policy you get this – “You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ” at line 1”. You really are crap at this website stuff aren’t you?

So what will Dunk do next as his insanity takes over? Watch this space…

This is fucking brilliant. Been laughing me head off all night.

Fuck the book off Dunk, you have got a sure fire blockbuster hit movie on your hands here if you let holywood make the story of Koptalk.

Who could play you….. huummmmmmmmm????? Sadly John Candy departed us a few years back, so we will have to pick someone a bit slimer than you, jon goodman.

Your a fucking comedy genius Oldham! Sadly for you we are all LAUGHING AT YOU, NOT WITH YOU.

As your ripping your portacabin apart Dunk me old mucka, make sure you dont strain yourself to much, we wouldnt want that left side of your arm going numb would we?

BRINGING YOU DOWN FROM THE INSIDE OLDHAM……….. AND DONT YOU KNOW IT HEHEHEHEHEHEHE

  2. Sinon Says:

Probably the worst thing about all this is that typing in http://www.michaelshields.co.uk (which he used to at least publish a legitimate account number and sort code to benefit Michael’s appeal) now says:

“You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ” at line 1″

Not that Dunk will be arsed.

  3. penman Says:

OK…some of what’s on Koptalk is crap. But I think it’s still a good site. Most people are good posters, and overall it’s a good community. Not sure what is being accomplished here on this site – sound like sour grapes. were you booted?

  4. Bruce Lewin Says:

I once gave Dunk a free email account just before Koptalk launched. He claimed some MU fan complained about him and he lost access or something – I can’t recall. I just felt like helping someone back in the day when the web was new and everyone had dialup!. I’ve never spent a penny with him but stopped visiting the site around summer 05 (RAWK and newsnow took me).

Koptalk was good early on but it seems like Dunk has got to too many people!!!

I remember a guy called Brian Bentley who used to write for Team Talk (when there was no official LFC site!!!) and he was found out. One famous story was Coke about to sponsor LFC. He even had a mock up shirt done…

Its a shame Dunk has lost it and a shame so many people lost out, feel cheated and conned etc.
