A new free Liverpool FC forum

“Must get hits, must get hits….” thinks Dunk. Rather than actually trying to stop the bull and address the criticisms he’s facing not just from this blog but from his own members and other sites as well, he tries to persuade his visitors to make enough posts so that they hit a trigger level – then they get to post in the even more tumbleweed-infested “first team” section of the free site –

When you have the title ‘1st Team Player’ under your forum username, please post a note on this topic to bring it to our attention that you require access to the Senior Member forums.

When you become a 1st Team Player you are also able to participate in the ‘Shout Box’.

Having a first team and reserves section encourages people to get more involved, after all, these are discussion forums

He’s not wrong – some people don’t realise that the site they are on is now quite possibly the worst one of all the more serious LFC websites. As a result they think it would be good to get into the first team section, so post even more – quantity, not quality. Truth be told though it isn’t actually very good to be able to post in the first-team section. It’s hard to find anything of interest in there, as hard as DJ Sydney tries. He’s one of the few remaining moderators on Koptalk’s free site now. One of them, Rosco, has now joined with Ryan20 and Fox Force Five to start a new site. www.sixcrazyminutes.com is now the home of many familiar names from the Koptalk free site.

So for anyone who used to enjoy the free Koptalk website but is still struggling to find a new home, this new site is well worth a visit.

Other names I spotted when I last had a look around – anfieldanfield, brendan, Delinquent, livvy145, Piedro, Sheik Yerbouti

A good place to start, for readers of this blog who are missing the free Koptalk “community” from around six months ago, would be this –

http://www.sixcrazyminutes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=522

or this –

http://www.sixcrazyminutes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=135.

It doesn’t look to me though that DJ Sindy will get to become a moderator on that site.

    Loser!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Ryan Says:

Many thanks for the ‘plug’ Insider.

    All are welcome.

In true KT style I hereby steal some steaming, hot content from the new site. Considered yourselves Oldhamized, lads!

This was Rosco’s and FoxForceLive’s “farewell” address to KT. They were both mods at the time.

Apparently it survived for all of five minutes.

I stole it from http://www.sixcrazyminutes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=522 . If you want to see the full, lively disucssion, go there:

    “A Koptalk Farewell. …..

    From Rosco and Foxforcefive.

Well folks …. we’ve been thinking about this for ages but have finally decided to make a stand. We’ve both been members here for a long long time and have thoroughly enjoyed the majority of our time on here. We’ve had the pleasure of discussing everything about a club that’s close to our hearts with people from all over the world through the medium that is Koptalk. We’ve made some good friends here, and probably countless enemies too.

However, in recent times we’ve watched plenty of good posters disappear and plenty more get banned. I suppose the high point was when Ryan and AnfieldAnfield were recently banned. Two loyal top quality posters booted, just like that. It made no sense and only served to increase our disenchantment with the site.

Couple that with all the bullsh*t transfer rumours and the anti- Moores and Parry propaganda and we’ve begun to wonder just what sort of LFC supporter you are Dunk.

Why is it that you constantly thrive to bring bad publicity on the club?

Why is it that you bought a season ticket for £620 when there weren’t any on sale at that price ?

Why is it that you plead poverty when looking for new Insider members, then boast about how rich you are at other times ?

Why has half the Gold Club left to set up there own site ?

Why exactly are the authorities investigating you ?

And most importantly , where is Piedro’s Ipod ?

So basically we’re off. We’ve had enough of the lies , enough of the secrecy , enough of the oppressive big brother style nature of your influence.

We’ve set up our own site along with Ryan at http://www.sixcrazyminutes.com/forums/index.php and invite anyone else who’s a bit fed up with Koptalk to join us. We’ve already got a nice few members after our first 48 hours since opening and we hope to see lot’s more of you soon. “

  5. FoxForceFive Says:

Cheers for the PR lads, it’s appreciated, we’re off to a flying start, taking a very high percentage of Dunk’s poster’s with us, to a site which doesnt censor or dictate to anyone, as well as some new ‘non-KT’ posters, all are more than welcome.

I’d like to take this opportunity to ‘extend the olive branch’, so to speak, to the other LFC forums. I know many of you dont get on with KT, but we always give you all credit for stories etc that members mention, & actively supply links when such ‘cross-overs’ happen to increase inter-site traffic, we’re not into competition with each other as far as we’re concerned, & wont bahave like we are.

Ive justed posted this comment on EST1892

From the photos of todays game, Oldham took photo’s from his season ticket seat, yet he had photo’s that came from both sides of the ground!

Plus someone called Rodo is saying he seen Oldham getting off in a hurry……. Dunk alias or what?

This fatty twatty loser goes to great lengths to keep his con lie alive

  7. rupertinsider Says:

Ritchie is another well-known KT (ex) poster who went out with a bang.

Is Oldham and his family calling the bosses of former posters, complaining about abusive posts and threatenting legal action?

I just got a phonecall to my workplace saying that I’ve been posting abuse and that they will be calling my boss on Monday morning. Didn’t sound good.”

If so, it puts claims that this blog is “stalking” Oldham in perspective, doesn’t it? It also shows up Disco’s increasingly pathetic attempts to defend the Oldham/KT practices.

  9. rupertinsider Says:

To be clear, you can see Rirchie 3 comments on the phone-calls and threats on the same thread:

  10. rupertinsider Says:

With reference to Insider’s description of Dj_Sydney in the post at the head of the thread, I am reminded of a famous painting by Poynter in the Liverpool Walker Art Gallery of a Roman centurion standing guard as the city burns.

DJ_Sydney was appointed a mod by the infamous Rashid, and seems to have committed himself to KT after Oldham told him that KopTalk is worth 5 million pounds.

I wish KT PM’w were not disabled – I woudl contact DJ him and offer him the bridge in Brooklyn that I am selling.

Pretty soon DJ, Insider and I will be the only one’s left on KT

  11. The Oracle Says:

Just read about that phone call that Ritchi3 received.

That’s outrageous! I really can’t wait to see the complete demise of Koptalk.

  12. Chunky Says:

I recall crossing swords with FoxForceFive & co on the legendary TLW Koptalk thread but that’s now history and I’m sure we all wish you luck with your venture. As you say, all the Liverpool sites can co-exist as they all have a different appeal and demographic. (apart from Fatty and his dystopian take on ‘community’)

  13. FoxForceFive Says:

Yes Chunky, I remember that thread & on it I also said if I got proof that Dunk was wearing a sun hat as you & many others said, I’d walk. Well I did, only I waited, got help & we took half the membership with us. As you said, we can all co-exist quite peacefully, we’re looking into linking all the other sites, as the other sites seem to link each other, & will be in touch with all others regards it soon.

  14. rupertinsider Says:

Thi site will link to yours as it does to all the others – its just a temporary oversight which Insider will fix when he gets back to work.

  15. Dr Nazli Says:

oh dear, sorry, I saw the red colors and assumed I was at a Manchester United forum site :-):-)

    cheers

  16. rupertinsider Says:

“As you said, we can all co-exist peacefully…”

I have been criticised on the blog for criticising or even “attacking” posters on KT. I freely admit it. I did it deliberately and would do it again in similar circumstances.

KT was not only Oldham and could not exist without the co-operation of certain high-profile posters both in the free forums and the paid forums. Some of them were aware of how important they were to Oldham and congratulated themselves on it and took advantage. They publicly criticised and mocked critics of Oldham and those who left KT.

I criticised and lampooned the free forum posters, not only to demonstrate how the whole KT con worked, but also to sting them into a reaction.

Some of them reacted on the blog and on other sites.

Its a subject I could expand on , but only at the cost of unilaterally revealing some confidences – so I wont.

But one of the strong themes I have also pursued through the blog is the potential Oldhams demise offers the decent LFC sites. One already senses the new vitality in the new sites, composed mainly of ex-KT members – and in my view the posters seem happier and more relaxed than they were in the stressfull hot-house atmosphere of KT. And the well-established site have also received a boost from the influx of disillusioned KT posters.

And it is not just a question of numbers. The blogs hard criticism of some aspects of Oldhamism has stimulated thought on other sites, helping to clarify issues.

I do believe that sites are at their best when they consider themselves sections of “the crowd” – all supporters together, supporting the same club. Sites have costs and not least is the cost of supporting the people who spend much of their day working at them and maintaining their high standards. So the issue of a site raising revenue and paying staff is not a problem. It became an issue with Oldham for all the reasons detailed in the blog.

All sites, apart from KT, benefit from their mutual success. Supporters referred by their favourite site to a piece on another site simply provide that other site with the benefit of their visit. They do not deprive their favourite site of anything. The more inter-site traffic the better for all.

It might also be possible for sites to co-operate on gathering and sharing news.

But perhaps the best outcome of the Oldham exposure is to have clarified standards by which all sites should be judged by their own users.

  17. Rosco Says:

    Thanks for the mention lads.

  18. seaney53 Says:

    banned from this site(sixcrazyminutes)
    Any idea why?
because I’m a member of the insider?
was only a member of sixcrazyminutes for a couple of weeks, and enjoyed reading the forums.

  19. seaney53 Says:

recently registered with sixcrazyminutes, and was banned from website-for no reason.
I am wondering if the decision to ban me was due to the fact I am a member of insider?
I enjoy all LFC websites and have no axe to grind.

  20. Sheik Yerbouti Says:

Thanks for the mention lads and Seany53, I can’t find any reason why you were banned. It certainly wouldn’t be for being a member of the Insider. Anyone is welcome onto the site.

  21. Sheik Yerbouti Says:

    …well, almost everyone.
