How does an elephant do a U-turn? Read on…

Once again we've got friendly Insider Insider visitors updating us by email on events at the Koptalk Outhouse.

Fat Dunk's memory problems seem to be getting worse. First of all, he's posted this story on his "free" site –

2 weeks to push through transfer – Reds end interest in Bent

Liverpool have ended their interest in Charlton striker Darrent Bent following the serious injury to Djibril Cisse.

With the Reds missing out on a potential £8million as a result of Cisse's broken leg, Liverpool do not have the funds to continue their interest in the player.

There are also suggestions that Liverpool may also have to end their interest in Feyenoord ace Dirk Kuyt or other alternatives such as Fernando Toress, David Villa and Michael Owen.

Blackburn Rovers striker Craig Bellamy remains the ideal solution as he's available for a bargain £6million but only until the end of June.

Liverpool fan Bellamy has a clause in his contract which allows him to leave Rovers for £6m but that expires at the end of this month.

The Welsh hitman currently earns £40,000-a-week but is prepared to take a pay-cut to secure a dream move to Anfield.

'Liverpool have today been linked with a possible move for Blackburn Rovers striker Craig Bellamy. With Rafaeal Benitez set to offload both Fernando Morientes and Djibril Cisse in the summer, speculation is obviously rife as to who he'll try to bring in. Dirk Kuyt and Jermaine Defoe are high up the list, so too is Valencia's David Villa. Michael Owen is desperate for a return to Anfield and Crystal Palace's Andy Johnson continues to be linked.' –  10 March 2006, KOPTALK NEWS

Love that link to Andy Johnson, the soon-to-be Everton failure. So according to Oldham, Liverpool's money problems are such that instead of going for two strikers, which has been reported practically everywhere since just before dinosaurs walked the earth (well it feels that long) we are struggling to get even one striker. Bent is no longer on our list, simply because we can't afford him. According to Dunk we can't afford him anyway. The Echo reported earlier that Liverpool were looking seriously at Bellamy. They also said that Liverpool would have bought Darren Bent had Cisse been sold – Dunk's basically just reworded this in his story.

Nothing unusual there then. A website prints a story, Dunk puts it on his site, slightly reworded and without any acknowledgement of the source.

Then he posts this on his Insider site. We're told he actually posted the following crap about half an hour after the one above. He actually tells his readers not to believe what he tells them.

Lack of cash …. NOT
Fri Jun 16 2006 01:37 PM

Don't read too much into these claims that Liverpool don't have cash to spend well this summer.

I've just got off the phone to a friend who's connected and he says the money is there for a big signing such as Bent had we had a "serious" interest in him. Rafa likes him but simply feels he's overpriced.

My feelings have gone up and down this summer at the lack of activity but everyone I'm speaking to says Rafa is relaxed which suggests to me he knows exactly what he's doing.

I really think we'll be fine. Admittely that opinion could change within a few minutes depending on what happens etc but right now, I'm really calm.

Chances are he got this from another website, maybe you spotted it? Within 30 minutes of telling one set of his readers there's no money to buy players he'll telling another set we can buy who we want. He says we just don't want Bent. No disrespect to the Charlton player but which website owner does his surname remind you of?

Lecter seems to disagree.  Anyway, rather we didn't buy Bent as he's crap.

Lecter's consistently said we'll spend roughtly £20M on two strikers.

Bent at £6M leaves £14M for the other striker, and that should be ebnough for a top, top class player, unless you're a boggle-eyed Frenchman.

Then we've got an unhappy gold-shower member daring to question the tubby one –

Well I wouldn't if the KP news didn't have snippets like:

Liverpool have ended their interest in Charlton striker Darrent Bent following the serious injury to Djibril Cisse.

So come on Dunk, is this a hint of a major event occurring in the half hour between both these items being posted? Or case of left hand and right hand…

That's you banned then, RED_A_DUB_DUB. And you needn't laugh Mr  'Sourcyde' –

Jesus wept!

He'll be back in a minute expecting loads of those worship smileys, he'll not be happy at all to hear all of this dissent. Oh – here he is…

I'm firmly of the opinion that there's no need to panic about anything.

The club wants to give out the vibe that we're skint… which shouldn't be too hard in reality. However, I think we'll see some reasonable spending this summer.

I'm awaiting an update on Parry's movements earlier this week.

Usually he says he's "awaiting an update later this week".  He didn't "bite" at those comments, will 'Fredo' or 'phcpgun' push him over the edge? –

Just thought that myself.

Big signing FFS.

I thought exactly the same! Are you hinting that we do have enough to spend £6mil on Bellamy and then still have enough in the bag to go for Torres/Villa/Kuyt/Owen etc ? Can't wait for a press conference so we all know what's going on (not saying there is going to be one, just i'm hoping for one!)

Here's the fat one again. Surely he'll be throwing his toys out of van now…

But the club don't want to spend a fortune on him. He'd be a good signing at a decent price.

Still no anger. This is so unlike him. Has he had his prescription doubled? Well rather than get angry he had a different idea. A bit more banter followed amongst the paying customers, before another familiar site in the Koptalk world. Newly-signed-up to the Insider, posted 52 times, it's 'Joe_the_red' with some inside information. Dunk's not got much imagination with these made-up usernames…

I have been told by someone who has been pretty reliable in the past that informal discussions have been held with Valencia about a couple of players. One of which is supposed to be David Villa. If this is correct, it would indicate that we do have money available.

I'm fairly confident we will get the players we need to progress.

*Starts to pray*

A couple more posts later and back comes the big lost elephant to answer some questions for his fans…

bent a big signing???…looks like your ambitions are about as same as the board. have they got to you??

I personally have never referred to him as a big signing (said source did if you read it mate). The club may want to put that vibe out but I don't. I wouldn't class him as a big signing but I do think he's ok BUT only at at least half of what Charlton were trying to get.

Quote: Nice one Dunk. So out of ten how confident are you of a big name striker coming? not including Bellamy

Today I'd say 10. But had you asked me a week or two ago I may have said 6. Opinions can change like the wind in this market. right now though I'm confident.

Quote: Do you think we are in for David Villa then Dunk?

I really couldn't say. It depends how we define "in". I doubt very much that we have made a bid so NO. However, he has always been high on Rafa's list where as Kuyt, Defoe, Bellamy etc have been more standby options if you ask me.

I think if we land Bellamy this still leaves the door open for another decent striker.

Personally I'd welcome Bellamy. He's clearly been under consideration because of the price.

Well that's it then. To summarise, Dunk says not to believe a word he says. Not that he can say anything, because he admits he's no idea who we've made bids for. More proof of just how much that insider subscription is really worth.

A big thank you again to those who emailed us these bits and pieces.

man, that is so typical of dunk.
stir things up and then denies (if it goes horribly wrong).
stir things up and then boasts (if his made-up b*llshit come true).
a fraud of enron proportions i say.

  2. rupert Says:

What gets me is how gullible these Gold Club lavatory attendants are. Can’t they see that he is saying nothing? Fattie learned very early on that some folk will gladly pay just to feel that they are part of an elite. Idiots!

  3. KT Veteran Says:

Not all are gullible. I joined for the prospect or insider news I admit to that all those days ago but now I just stay for the banter plus being an honorary member means I dont have to sign up again.

If I were to ever need to pay to sign up or find myself kicked out, I wouldnt be that bothered.

  4. Alan Says:

Listen to this grown man, who calls himself shouting out like a fucking child. Hear the thick horrible accent.

Does it on both of them. What a cock

  5. rupert Says:

Obviously you haven’t heard his Koptalk radio reports – where he tells Steve why raping young underage girls is understandable, calls his children “a mistake” , bawls at his “wife” for not bringing his sarnies around, calls Steve a “rent boy”, says Fowler is no more than “a mascot” and Cisse is his hero, tells dirty and racist jokes, belches, farts and generally demonstrates all the charm a pig in a sty.

  6. Insider Insider Says:

I think there are a fair few who go onto the insider just because they get on well with some of the others. It’s just a shame Dunk’s too paranoid to take a little bit of stick about anything other than his weight (which he seems quite proud of).

As for the radio – we’d love to hear some recordings of that if anyone’s got any.

  7. KT Veteran Says:

I’ve heard KT radio. To be honest, some of it is funny but thats my sick sense of humour. But yes most of it is just him shouting out and belching.

  8. rupert Says:

Yeah, I agree, I laugh sometimes, too. Its all so surreal. And that accent is comical, in itself. A downmarket “Wayne’s World” comes to mind.

But its also very revealing. In his written stuff he at least goes through the motion of covering his ass. But on the Radio show he lets it all hang out. It’s as though he forgets he’s on the air. Shitting in public probably sums it up.

  9. kt lurker Says:

    this site is great.
    death to the fat man
    mwahhahahahahahaha

*dont really give a fuck either way. i say fair play to him for makin the money but yeah he is full of shit at times and most of the insiders are just members on the site.id say 2 could be trusted rest are full of shite
