Where’s Uncle Tom’s picture gone?

Yesterday, Oldham read our remarks about his disappearing website kopfootball.com which is based on a domain name stolen from the two owners. Last time we looked it was slowly sinking into a Lousiana swamp. So he dragged it out yesterday.

But the picture of Charlotte, the 14 year old editor, was gone. And all his her promises were gone – about how it was going to be about the new stadium and how it would be a channel for LFC fans to communicate directly with the two owners – better than the Official Site, he she said, which would “filter” their words.

Maybe its because her Dad contradicted her yesterday when he said that GG and TH should keep their mouths shut and talk only to the Official Site and the Liverpool Echo!

Whatever the reason he she has now labelled it as a site about “News Relating to Tom Hicks and George Gillett”.

That sounds a bit ominous, doesn’t it, given all the negative press cuttings and rants about the two “bigmouths” that her Dad has been pasting over his site in the last few days?

Another Red shakes the Koptalk dust from his shoes.

by Rupert Insider

I got this letter today from a long standing member of KopTalk who has had enough. I print it with his permission.

And another has written asking for advice on how to leave KopTalk most effectively – what message he should post or whatever. Any ideas?

“Bigfooty” makes Oldham squirm about why he is suddenly negative on George Gillett and Tom Hicks

by Rupert Insider

The KopTalk member Bigfooty can hardly be described as a blogger after his marathon criticisms of us here over the weekend and his loyal defence of Oldham. So its refreshing to see him leading the cross-examination today of Oldham’s new policy of using “negative” articles about Tom Hicks and George Gillett to rant about them in his so-called “editorials”. “How I ripped-off the Athens Final” – Oldham of Koptalk

by Rupert Insider

Spivving 101 – by Duncan Oldham

1. I used my KopTalk site to urge LFC supporters to go to Athens in numbers without tickets to “soak up the atmosphere and get drunk”.

2. I got myself a big fat commission for giving them the telephone number of charter airline that they could have found for themselves online. That’s how “I sent hundreds to Athens” and made myself up to £50 a sucker!

3. I obtained a ticket for the final in the UK.

4. I sent the two teenage relatives who work for me to Athens to sell the ticket for a profit and told them I was giving them a treat in lieu of wages.

5. I told them to buy more tickets from the touts and sell them for profit. They could use the proceeds from the sale of the first ticket to add to the budget I gave them.

6. I directed my 17 yr old to approach the ITN team in Athens to promote my KopTalk site. He was to say he was an LFC supporter who had arrived without a ticket and was willing to pay £600 to see the game. To make it feasible that he had that kind of money and was working alone, I told him to say he was 19.

7. I told them to buy and sell tickets for as much as they could get from LFC suckers – aim for £1,000 but take anything over £600. Wear an LFC shirt to win their confidence. When they were sold out they could watch the game on outdoor TV in the square, make reports for my site, find some cheap lodging or sleep out all night, and bring home the bacon to me.

That’s the basics – its Introductory Spivving 101.

Now read on for my Master Class.
