Charity conman: Appeal update

Before I go onto the subject of the Koptalk charity collection, a quick look at how good Koptalk has got.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is the Koptalk shoutbox…

[Gazami69] i spy with my little eye something beginning with….

[Katie] Hello Koptalk!
[jmp7300] Hey……..all
[Tullimore] Steve are you there mate
[ST3] Hi Tulli
[EDC] Yo!
[ST3] yo

Brilliant isn’t it? I spy with my little eye something beginning with “T”. Clue – it’s weedy and tumbles.

Koptalk owner Dunk’s also decided tonight to make his first purchases with the money he’s collected for Alder Hey.

He’s not been listening to us (even though he reads this site daily). I’ve got a copy of what he’s claimed to have spent. What he’s not listened to, or has been too thick to realise, is that we are scrutinising this charity collection attempt VERY carefully.

Things that Dunk can’t do and get away with in relation to this Alder Hey appeal…

1) Turn vouchers into cash.
2) Hide money collected by making those who posted pledges disappear from the final totals.
3) Delete threads (even if they have been superceded by other threads)
4) Take the money and treat himself (like he did with Lauren).
5) Get any publicity other than what we give him on here (he says he wants none).
6) Say one thing then do another without first explaining why.

If he can stick to those, and any other minimum acceptable standards we’ve forgotten to mention, he’ll get a nice post on here showing him for actually doing his first ever good deed that didn’t have any hidden motive.

It’s called transparency. It’s about being open, being honest.

It’s quite an alien concept to a long-time conman like Oldham, but this is his chance to show the first signs of turning over a new leaf. It doesn’t get him off the hook for his past misdemeanours though, but if he’s now become as decent as he’s trying to pretend he is then he’ll have no trouble putting those things right. He owes a lot of explanations to a lot of people about Lauren.

So how does he perform against the six points above?

Let’s look at what he’s done so far.

That figure of £160 in vouchers is still short of the £10 that he’s still mysteriously not recieved. His own £10 voucher pledge. Odd really, considering that the rest all got through, ones that non-conmen sent…

Reading that thread back again and straight away he’s done himself out of getting all six points. He says in this thread, “A decision will be made by the community collectively with regards what specific goods we purchase.” Where’s the discussion on that then Dunk? What choice did the community get in all this? You’ve failed on point six, but we’d like to hear an explanation anyway. We might let you off.

So back to the amounts collected. Vouchers: £160.00. PayPal: £1202.27. Total: £1362.27.

Those £160 of vouchers are the only vouchers we want to see on any receipts. The rest should be cash, otherwise it’s a big failure of point 1. Then again, I’ve a feeling that’s already happened…

I’m not sure he can spend Argos vouchers online, and I’m assuming that’s how he’s ordered this TV.
I’m not sure he can spend Gameplay vouchers online, and I’m assuming that’s how he’s ordered those games.
I know he’s ordered the Amazon stuff online, and I know he can use his Amazon vouchers online.

He’s not allowed to use vouchers to purchase anything, otherwise it’s a clear sign that his motivation for this collection was to turn vouchers into cash.

He says he’ll be scanning the receipts – well in the case of the online orders I expect to also see a screen print for every page. It’s very easy to do with Amazon, and should show clearly that he’s not part-paid with gift vouchers.

Alder Hey Appeal Closing Sunday

Please note that we need to have all donations in by Sunday. If you would like to donate after Sunday we will publish on site the exact postal address for Alder Hey including the details of our contact there who has been working with us.

We are now purchasing the goodies for the kids as you will see from the appropriate thread on the site which will be updated over the next few days with new things.

Could those who haven’t chipped in yet but have pledged to, please contact steve@koptalk.com as soon as possible. It’s not a problem if you can no longer support Alder Hey at this time but at least we know what’s what if you can keep us updated.

Alder Hey are overjoyed at the support shown by the members here. Considering only our members were invited to contribute, we raised a lot of money in a very short time. You should be very proud of yourselves.

What happens next?

* Donation cut off point Sunday evening. Details will be published on site explaining how to contribute direct to Alder Hey after Sunday as there should never be a cut off point in reality. But KopTalk won’t accept any more donations as from Sunday evening as we need to prepare all the paperwork etc

* Last minute purchases will be made by us next week, additional cash (change) handed to Alder Hey at agreed presentation date (KopTalk has stated that we do not want any publicity that Alder Hey can offer)

* Receipts obtained from Alder Hey along with confirmation letter for donators (will be published on site)

* Goods handed to Alder Hey along with associated paperwork, guarantees etc.

Again, Dunk has reminded me of how he’s said one thing then done another. He’s already posted the “exact postal address” for Alder Hey for direct donations, back when he said he’d make this forum open to non-members. It’s still not open to non-members. He’s had enough reminders on that now for it to no longer be a mistake. It’s an example of going back on his worthless word.

He’s still not explained what happened the £26 donated by “Marcel”. The amount matched an insider auto-renewal subscription amount, and disappeared off the later lists of who’d donated or had pledged but not yet sent their money. (I wonder how many of those who’d not yet donated their promised pledge have actually been locked out by the panicking Oldham between making the pledge and preparing to donate the money).

Still, as things stand, he hasn’t done too much wrong on this particular appeal. Compared to the thousands he stole from his disabled cousin, this is going fairly honestly. For now.

Let’s go over those six points again. He’s not allowed to do any of these if he wants to avoid further accusations of being a conman.

1) Turn vouchers into cash.
As long as he can provide screen dumps and receipts that show CASH rather than VOUCHERS then he’s ok on this one. If not then it would suggest he’s been fiddling things yet again. (He also needs to prove that Alder Hey got all of those goods). I also expect all receipts and screen dumps to show reference numbers that can be used to verify the order with the companies who those goods were supposedly purchased from. I don’t trust Duncan Oldham, so I need to be sure he’s not got even a millimeter to wriggle into.

2) Hide money collected by making those who posted pledges disappear from the final totals.
So far, although I’ve only had a brief look, he’s only made one pledge disappear. Marcel’s £26 pledge.

3) Delete threads (even if they have been superceded by other threads)
Too late. He’s done this, with the thread that had the original paypal pledges v received on. However it’s in his power to bring the thread back, assuming he’s put it into the trash can or equivalent rather than deleting it.

4) Take the money and treat himself (like he did with Lauren).
Apart from the £26, so far so good. We’re watching though. If you are trying to con your members, we’ll catch you out. We’ve done it so many times before.

5) Get any publicity other than what we give him on here (he says he wants none).
So far so good again. Alder Hey will respect his wishes for no publicity if he’s asked for that, so this won’t be a problem to fulfil.

6) Say one thing then do another without first explaining why.
Already covered to some extent above. He’s not happy that we’re watching him so closely, but he knows we are. Yet he still changes his mind on things. WHY IS THE FORUM STILL NOT OPEN TO NON-MEMBERS?

That’s all for now on this, here’s hoping that Duncan Oldham can address the minor problems listed above.

And here’s also hoping that he’ll finally explain his theft from his disabled cousin. Alder Hey have been warned about that and are no doubt also scrutinising it all.

Double standards and contradictions for Reds fans

Dunk’s Alder Hey charity collection is still going. And until he’s delivered every penny collected to Alder Hey we’ll keep watching it. As you’ll know if you aren’t completely new to this blog, Duncan Oldham’s past charity collections seem to have stopped short of actually paying much of the money to their intended targets.

So far he seems to be running this one quite honestly. Only a couple of points for him to pick up on (he reads this blog, and so this is the best place to point it out to him. I’d be banned if I pointed it out on his forum). Firstly, why isn’t the Alder Hey forum viewable by guests, like you said it was? A lie as per normal or just a mistake? Sort it out, or make an announcement as to why you’ve said one thing but done another. Secondly, a quick check of the list of those two lists of donations received and donations pledged but not received shows just one missing person. “Marcel” was down in the list you hid as having pledged £26 via Paypal. So get that one found. £26 is of course one of the fees you charge for your Insider Bullshit subscription. I’ll be checking again tomorrow against old copies of the list when I get chance.

Ok – one more question for you – why did you delete that thread, #42446, “LIST OF DONATORS TO ALDER HEY CHRISTMAS APPEAL”? Considering you are supposedly trying to make out you are being transparent, this sort of thing just adds to the suspicions about you. You are a proven conman trying to collect money for charity in an attempt to win a bit of credibility – then you hide this bit of evidence.

To be honest I’d have deleted this thread, #49156, “Akon’s new album ‘Konvicted’”.

People often change the “C” in “Crap” to a “K” for “Krap” when they talk about your site. And they do it with a word that rhymes with Hunt too. So should “Akon” be “A con”? And “Konvicted”, or “Convicted”, is what you’ll be if you keep on trying to hide this missing charity money from earlier this year…

Posts: 13430 Yup. I thought it would be a bit wishy washy. The ‘Lonely’ song he did gets me down as my cousin Lauren always sings it and it reminds me of her condition so since then, I’ve never given him a chance even though I like him. But now this a new album so I don’t have to skip tracks. Sounds daft I know but it’s just me.

Anyway, I really like it. I downloaded it to try it out and have now bought it. That probably sounds even more daft but I like to support the artists I like.
- – - – - – - – - – - – -

I wonder what songs Lauren will sing when she realises how much money you got given to you in her name, and how little she actually got to see! You are scum Duncan Oldham, and every day more people start to see it. Even those closest to you are starting to secretly wonder about you.

Still on the subject of hiding the evidence, Dunk saw his own arse over this today. His forum is full of porn, which is something he had on his “free” site too. He has a kids’ section too, but it’s only got his daughter talking to herself in there. His pretence is that members with kids can sit with their kids whilst they post in the kids’ section about Liverpool-related things. That makes it ok to have porn on the site. His 13 year old daughter has her own login to the site too, so she can moderate these kids’ posts. And it’s still ok to have the porn on the site. Some things aren’t ok though. As you’ll see…

I watched their report on those very naughty Israelis opening fire Indiscriminately against the masses of unarmed females outside a mosque, hardly a mention of why they fired or why the women had surrounded the mosque.

This blatent false reporting was enough for me. It doesn’t matter how much you dress it up, a lie is a lie.

It does not get any airtime in my house.

Just another mouthpiece for the extremists.

Try and dress this up as a lie

That’s Boll*cks Dunk? The sad part about your sensorship is that it’s the killing of such youngsters (in this case of a 3 year old baby) that needs to be highlighted on Al Jazeera, CNN and BBC, so that we can do as much as possible to protest the slaying of all innocents in all conflicts. \:\(

But this has been published before along with other pictures, Dunk! You’ve got another thread with a picture of Brittany Spears completely naked getting into a car. Surely that should’ve been censored as it may “upset kids”. Here’s an example of selective censorship Dunk.

This is exactly what my point is Miike. There are far worse pictures in some threads. I feel that sometimes shocking pictures that show the depravity of things going on in our world must be highlighted. If you consider the Vietnam war, it was the first conflict of its time that was brought to the American household. Public opinion was formed based on graphic illustration of what war was like in Vietnam, and hence Lyndon Johnson had little option but to pull out.

Al Jazeera have used pictures and videos of women and children dying to put pressure on the US, Israel and Palestinian politicians that this form of murder has to stop. You cannot ‘package’ pain and anguish as a result of war. I don’t agree of this type of censorship. If youngsters are looking at this – let them ask questions of why innocents suffer in the hands of politicians. It’s time for us to question these terrible acts.

However, that doesn’t mean any porn or sick images should be included for sensationalism.

Sorry mate but if you don’t like the way we moderate our forums, just log out. We don’t enjoy moderating them because it’s impossible to keep everyone happy. It’s not easy, trust me. (Here we go. No mention of a refund though. Oh, and as for those words “trust me” – you must be off your fat head. Trust you?)

Adding 18+ probably encourages them but that’s not the point. It’s a disclaimer on our part.

I can assure you that nothing offends or shocks me. I’d prefer to let you post your pictures but some people get upset and I have to think about everyone, not just you \:\)

This caught my eye too. Someone wanted to know why Dunk had fed them a load of bullshit about investment. With us seemingly closing in on an investment deal can you now reveal what was supposdely breaking this May (that obviusly never happened)…was it the DIC group all along? Or are you still sworn to secrecy? (It was made up – the “sworn to secrecy” nonsense is part of the lie, it stops him from having to be too specific. But he forgets what he says, such a krap liar is he.)

I’m not going to say on the site just now but I will when the time is right. Everything I say gets blown up and I want to keep it quiet until everything’s in place (No – you knew nothing, and you still know nothing. “When the time is right”? You’ve got no time.)

Now considering that Dunk promotes the Koptalk 30 quid membership fee as including access to free live football for all the Liverpool games, why does he have to post this? Surely we’ll all watch live Prem football as part of our memberships?

I’m really confused about how we’ll all watch Premier League football next season (assuming it all changes then and not the year after). (He can’t even be arsed to do a bit of research as to when various deals run out.)

There’s Setanta (who have linked up with BT Vision) and then there’s Sky and PPV (but isn’t PPV to be scrapped?). (Use the internet, dummy. Try Google, it’s full of links to here so I’m sure it’s full of help on PPV contracts)

Because we’re fortunate to receive the overseas channels we should be ok although I note that ART have lost the coverage also. Showtime will show the Premier League football from next season and I’ve never heard of them. What satellite are they on and will this be receivable in the UK? (Hang on – aren’t you always banging on OUTSIDE the members’ site about how all this info is provided as part of that £30 membership fee?)

I think it’s going to be a bit of a nightmare for the ordinary Red who just wants to watch all the footy. (Ordinary Red – not you then, obviously)

Will Sky carry Setanta’s games by extra subscription to Setanta? If yes, then what about BT Vision, would that still be needed? (You should be looking this up for your members, rather than pleading with them to post something, anything, just please post in my forums.)

I think we need a discussion and some facts so that all of us know the score here. Please chip in if you have a clue what is going on because I’m lost. (Beg, beg, beg)

(A few posts later and he’s forgotten that he’s supposed to be acting like he’s a pauper who doesn’t take a wage from Koptalk and struggles to get by…)

It does sound good but the amount of boxes I have in my lounge is getting silly.

Multi-sat, Telewest TV Drive, Sky HD, 360 and various scart connectors and sound stuff. Then there’s the main PC which is on 10 meg broadband so I aint ditching that for BT. We do have BT broadband also but that’s upstairs for the kids in their rooms.

Still, I like to keep up to date with things but I just don’t see how I can add more stuff in here. All I want to do is watch football

Just think how many pensioners miss out. That’s the sad bit for me.

Aren’t BT going to offer delayed coverage also?
(He’s so poor he can afford to pay Telewest and BT for broadband. He’s so thick for someone who spends so much of his life on the internet that he hasn’t worked out how to share one connection. Either that or he’s lying, which would be such a shock.)

Dunk likes to pretend – through his forums. He’s told us already this year that he’s not got full access to his kids, and other clues like this have made it pretty obvious he’s now split up from his wife. But he wants to try and pretend he’s still with her, because that’s how he pretends not to need a wage from Koptalk. He bangs on about dot com booms and his wife’s salary as a teacher being enough to mean he can live without a wage. A big fat lie of course, like most of what he says. Still, in case anyone was starting to wonder if he and his wife had split up, he posts this rubbish.

Rob’s got a friend staying at ours. He’s been here since yesterday. Anyways, he walks in the living room all innocent and that and I’m slow on the uptake… Mrs says “What’s that top you’ve got on?”.. so I turns me head and he’s only got a ******* white Man Utd shirt on.

Jesus I bit his head off and probably over reacted but I can’t be having that. I’ve told him I’ll set it on fire. The thing is I was dead serious. Anyway, I’ve spent the last ten minutes trying to explain to him that if you like Liverpool, you don’t wear their stuff (because he says he supports Liverpool). Apparently a cousin bought him it “before he supported Liverpool” and he insists he’s never liked the scum.

A while back I bought him a Liverpool top with his name on but his dad sent it back as he’s a Boro fan. I just wondered if he was behind it?

I asked him if he wanted to watch me fire it in the garden but he said no and at that point I realised he wasn’t playing along with my semi serious semi joking side so I suggested he doesn’t bring it again.

Back to the fridge (for a can so **** off!)

Complete bullshit from start to finish, and krap to boot.

That should be Koptalk’s tagline.
