What do you think? Can Dunk stop those ads from The S*n or are they really this hard to bring to a stop? More started to appear this morning. This isn’t the first time in the past few days that he’s been running ads for The S*n on his site either. This isn’t the first time he’s had to stop them.
As all Reds know, apart perhaps from a small minority of mainly overseas-based Reds, The Sun newspaper is boycotted. We do not buy it, we do not read it, we not visit its website, we do not collect its vouchers for school computers. Liverpool-supporting newsagents who stock it do so because of pressure from their distributors – it’s a case of either take that rag or lose out on taking any of the others. For new readers of this blog, Duncan Oldham is the owner of a so-called Liverpool FC fan-site called Koptalk.coN. He buys The S*n, he reads it, he visits its website (and takes its stories) and has used the need to collect the vouchers for his daughter’s school as an excuse for buying the rag in the past. Now he’s running ads to promote his favourite “newspaper”, against the wishes of Liverpool supporters.

This add on is a script which strips out parts of table-designed pages every time they load. Dead simple to use and very effective. So you never need to look at any of the ads.
And while I’d hate to see The Sun advertised on KT, I don’t care enough about anything else to make it worth KT staffers worrying about it.

I’ve no idea if any of the above are aware of this blog and so in turn already know about Dunk’s pathetic anti-Red attitudes, particularly in relation to The S*n. What I do know is that they aren’t the only ones disgusted by Oldham’s attempts to have fun over this emotive issue. Perhaps they don’t realise that having fun is now Dunk’s main motivation in ignoring the boycott of The S*n.
It’s still possible that Duncan is promoting The S*n through these ads purely for the chance to make money. Possible, but unlikely. His main motivation is more sinister than that really. He wants to have a big laugh at the expense of as many Reds fans as possible.
If you’ve ever listened to one of his Podgecasts you’ll know how he actually looks even worse than he sounds. He’s odious, in many ways. So read his response to those complaining about The S*n adverts, but read it with his Podgecast voice in mind…

Google ads are suuplied by keywords so if you had a page with the words ‘Arsenal’ in for example, it would display ads relevant to Arsenal.

He knows damn well “what advert” they are talking about. As we’ve said before, he’s a crap liar despite all the practice, and that crapness extends to his acting skills. He’s thick, yet he’s crap at acting thick. If you look at his reply you’ll notice how he even wants you to click the ad before reporting it. In other words, make him a few more pennies first. Don’t do it. If you ever do want to report an ad to anyone and you don’t want the site owner to get any money from it, just right-click on the link, then copy the URL. In fact if you click the URL you won’t always get the URL that relates to the ad, as often there are a couple of redirects involved between the ad and the target site. In the case of Koptalk you’re better spending your time clicking the “Ads by Goooooogle” link at the top of an ad block and report Koptalk to Google.
A couple of minutes later and the act continues. In his best pantomime dame performance he “suddenly” realises what they mean. All of a sudden he realises, he says, that the mean The S*n. He thought they meant Manchester United, he says…

The trouble is, thicko, we already know that you know we aren’t talking about Google Ads. We are talking about your other ads. We aren’t as dopey as you.
Most readers of this blog don’t get to see your ads if they do visit your site because they’ve long since installed pop-up blockers. They did this to avoid the spyware infested ads you used to run. Those pop-up blockers sometimes include ad-blocking software which refuses to allow many of your banner ads through, because those banners are often accompanied by the pop-ups.

You know where it’s appearing. You’ve not got that many providers of ads now. You’ve already, supposedly, taken action to stop these ads in recent days. If you weren’t playing this game with the feelings of all Liverpool supporters you’d have already ensured they couldn’t reappear. Then again, you are thick, so maybe you’d have missed something, perhaps a “.com” rather than “.co.uk” address. Still, even allowing that, as soon as the words “The S*n” were mentioned you’d have gone into the control panels for ALL of your ad providers to ensure that nothing was sneaking through.
But, thick as you are, you knew where these ads were coming from. Short of much attention from your few remaining members you wanted some more from us…

The only ads on the right-hand side of Oldham’s Koptalk.coN site are from Google and one that doesn’t go through an agency or ad company, it goes direct to the advertiser, 32Red poker. So it can’t be anything other than a banner at the top of the page. And those of his visitors who don’t put ads on websites themselves probably won’t have a clue what a “468×60″ banner is. (It’s the dimensions in pixels of the ads if you were wondering). Why pretend? Because he’s playing a game with the emotions of those few members who’ve dared to question his twatty ways.
So, adjusting his wig, he waits for another five minutes. Nobody bites, so he pretends to have worked out all by himself where the ad was from. Wow! He’s so clever. I bet nobody could tell he was pretending to be in the dark…

In future, can people report such findings to us because as has been shown today, once found, they can be easily disabled.
Publishers are not consulted when new advertisers are added. Only once the ads are appearing can anything be done to block them.
What I’ll probably do is ditch all the ads from these agencies and just ad our own. Much easier.
Now that the ads are disabled, it can take an hour or so to block them out.

The only thing i would say in defense of Disco is that at least he still comes on here and has not hidden!
There are a lot of members on there that know of this blog and Oldhams scams and the fact he pisses on graves, yet do not come on here to open themselves up to the critism!
There are major posters on there going along with Oldhams lies and happy to do it.
I think its time to make a list of the major posters and make a blog entry to ask them why they still support the s*n loving anti LFC site!
It would not be a character assissination, but just so they could give us a insite into why they still visit it. Maybe a shame list would make the genuine fans realise their mistake.

I do read here from time to time, perhaps once a week or so, and (and Rupert won’t like this
) it’s been pretty poor/repetitive over the last few months.
However, I’m interested to know more about this although I’m not convinced I’ll get a constructive answer.

When Disco first began to sniff around the blog and the Koptalk Talk Forum at Est 1892 his main whine was that he had just paid 30 for a membership in the Gold Club and he did not want blog or anyone else to deprive him of full value – however he would reconsider his participation in KT once his membership ran out. (In other words it was a question of money not principle).
He made clear that the big attraction the KT Gold Club offered was for him to be part of an elite! He was annoyed that the “elite” was evaporating before his very eyes and particularly annoyed if anyone gave the blog credit for it.
He then started a campaign on the blog, EST 1892 and elsewhere to defend Oldham and all his shady practices.
It was important to him to argue that even though Oldham’s site was disintegrating the blog was not a contributing factor. He usually dressed up this opinion in a barmy form of literary criticism – in which he trolled on in that daft way he has about what was entertaining about the blog and what not. He couldn’t grasp that the contributors to the blog couldn’t care who got the credit for busting Oldham and, in fact, frequently attribute credit to others.
Occasionally, to avoid the appearance of a complete break with reality, he would tut-tut mildly about this or that Oldham’s practice – like when he had his Ma or cousin call ex-members of KT at their place of work and threaten to expose them to their employer. But his tut-tutting was always couched in the same screwy PR consultant tone he applied to the blog – in other words it would look better Mr. Oldham, Sir, in PR terms, if you did not actually say that you spoke to a hitman about paying him 500 to bump of the blog contributors – not that there is anything intrinsically wrong in that, Sir.
For all of this – Oldham gave him an honorary membership.
When it finally dawned on Disco that he wasn’t getting anywhere with the blog – he flounced off in a huff – declaring that he would not read it again or the EST 1892 Koptalk Talk Forum. Needless to say – he shows up in flash when his name is mentioned – as he just did.
He’s a silly poseur, that’s all, who enjoys inhaling Oldham’s odour.

Disco mate, this was first reported on est1892 on the 29th of October, more than 2 weeks ago. It was then confirmed with screenshots posted on this blog and on est 4 days ago, and D*nk even responded, so he’d obviously seen this blog etc. Yet still it has taken him 4 days to get round to “working out which ads” these were, despite everyone else knowing and saying they were the fastclick ones.

Disco, ignore this personal stuff, its not important right now. This is the first time I’ve posted on this blog, and you know I have no axe to grind with you. Set all the other stuff from over the months and years about D*nk aside, this issue is absolutely cut and dried.

Seriously, put yourself in D*nk’s shoes, this guy has been running and making a killing from a website for years, he knows how things work. So if you were him, and you were made aware of even the possibility of this happening (let alone actually seen screenshots of it), wouldn’t you move heaven and earth to stop it happening right then and there? So, lets say you couldn’t instantly control the ads… well you’d just pull the service completely wouldn’t you?
D*nk can’t claim not to know where they were, there are no ads on the GC/Insider at all now I believe so there would only be one place to look, koptalk.com…. even if he hadn’t seen screenshots on here/est. And he can’t claim to have no control – he could just cut the whole advertisment thing out instantly if he chose. Can’t even make him much money now on the semi defunct free-site, and Its not even like he has no other source of revenue (unlike every other independant lfc fan site on the net. None of whom on which anyone would or will ever see anything like this.)

In view of Disco’s claim that he has been an honorary member for more than a year, and that I made up references to him being a paid member who was rewarded, I trawled back through some of the Comments he has made on this blog in July 2006.
I did not search his innumerable posts on EST 1892 which was also the source of my information and impressions about him and his relationship with KT.
I’m including a few of his posts about Hillsborough and the Sun. This is just a tiny sample of his many posts on this blog in his insincere and failed attempt to defend Oldham and his shady practices.
No doubt he will accuse me of a biased selection.

I actually can’t believe I’m reading this.
After being brought to their attention weeks ago by Est, and more recently on II (2 top stories on Newsnow) there is NOT A CHANCE they didn’t know which adverts to block, so much infact I’m going to get a value click account so we again prove the lies.
As II pointed out above if it wasn’t the 32red/google banner WHAT other advert could it have been? You aren’t telling me Koptalk don’t read the blog or didn’t see the recent Sun stories.
I know Koptalk read Newsnow, I’ve got their IP addresses and regularly look through another LFC site and see them viewing top stories on Newsnow.
Some stuff picked up in the past is trivial but its all further ammo, but this is one of the worst public lies ever. They sit in front of computers virtually every day and they couldn’t spend 5 minutes to go in and block an advert.
Wouldn’t suprise me if this was a last minute attempt to cashout before they go under. Koptalk have really over-stepped the mark this time, if I ever see Duncan in Liverpool I am going to have words, and if its around Anfield I’m going to make a scene and let everyone else know he’s the evil being Koptalk & their ongoing support of the Sun.

“Dunk knows best” boasts about his total control over his one-man site and of course he knew he was running a S*n banner campaign and receiving money from it for at least two weeks before the blog revealed it.
Since he also tracks posts of his ex and current members on EST 1892, I’d be very surprised did not see the post there about the S*n ads on 29th October.
In any case, he know about his S*n campaign from the blog which he and his family read several times a day. IMO he posted on the blog on that very subject as “Garland” (II also thinks he posted as “Grotbags”).
And yes he is also an avid reader of News Now – he spent a good part of his day posting to it when the S*n story was running because he depends financially on hits from it. So he will have seen how prominent the blog stories were listed there – many thousands of other News Now readers others also saw them and visited us.
As for the control he could exercise over Fastclick – I’d draw your attention to the post in the above article from “ste” who cites the Fastclick contract.

While I am on the subject I’d like to congratulate exmouth_chris on his post listing the names and ages of the Hillsborough 96. He demonstrates that there are still some decent LFC supporters associated with that site. He is not a prolific poster having made only 325 in more than a year. Oldham must have been sorely tempted to delete it as he deletes every post that challenges his practices. He probably calculated that at this time he could not get away with deleting the list.

The Koptalk Talk Forum is an optional forum – last time I looked which is sometime ago – and you can elect to have it. And it has an Insider Insider RSS feed and a proper Forum for comments about Koptalk.

You said above that if there was another site that offered inside information then you would go there. http://www.talklfc.com (who I represent although I’m not sure the community there would welcome you. has ‘insider’(as you would put it) contacts sufficient to secure an exclusive interview with Bolo Zenden – surely worth more than made up rumours??? The possibility of a Dirk Kuyt interview is also highly likely. talklfc staff and connections also hear ‘rumours’ which usually dont make it to the forums as they regard players’ personal lives. We also made the mistake once of posting an implausible rumour, eeven though it was well sourced, and decided not to do the same thing again with further information.
I know for a fact that http://www.ynwa.tv and http://www.redandwhitekop.com are well sourced websites but they act with the best interests of the club at heart. All 3 mentioned sites, and I’m sure there are others, could post better rumours than koptalk but choose not to.Probably a lot to do with not wanted to further arm mr Oldham.
Dunk simply posts anything he can get his hands on. He has no contacts and secures no interviews despite his alleged sources. Check out http://www.LFCHistory.net if you want to see the site with the most player and past player interviews. Does this not suggest that LFC History have more sources to you?
You have no excuse to be on koptalk other than being an ally of Dunk’s – directly or indorectly. Look at the right hand column here. There are links to plenty of quality liverpool sites. if you are a real fan then perhaps you could choose more wisely from this list?

In fact I’ve had some very good character references for Disco, and his support for Dunk is – in my opinion – just misguided. I do hope that he’s soon able to see what so many of us see because it’s a shame that someone who’s generally spoken of as a kind and intelligent guy is still being duped by someone who’s generally spoken of as an evil and thick guy!
Disco – if you do spot what we’ve all spotted long ago, and all of your reservations about what we’ve been saying are finally taken away, I hope you find a site that you can access from work that will be just as good a diversion from work as you found Koptalk was. Maybe you can use a proxy site to get round the block on http://www.est1892.co.uk or maybe you can use one of the other sites.

I’m sure players are contracted to spend an amount of time with the official site. While other clubs invested in their own Pay Per View TV channels (which are losing money), Liverpool wisely invested in the website – which I hear is quite profitable. I’m sure the club requires players to be involved in web features to consolodate their position of the most successful of the official club sites.
Their contracts however, do not seem to forbid them from speaking to other sites/media outlets. They probably dont speak to other sites as it requires their time. This on top of club and commercial committments probably makes it an unattractive proposition. I’m sure koptalk hasnt helped any of us either. Humans tend to tar with the one brush!!!
Getting player interviews requires a contact to the player, an amount of luck and also goodwill from the player. So I am unsure about what other interviews will come our way. I’d love to interview Carra
LFC History.net have been the most successful at getting intrviews so far. They have been great at getting players to agree to interviews when the players (or past players) visit the Norwegian Liverpool Supporters Club.
Notice that with all the contact LFCHistory have had, there’s no mention from them about curious transfer links. LFCHistory.net have had genuine access to those with access at Anfield and yet no rumours. What has koptalk had in terms of interviews and contacts? NOTHING. So where do they get their stories from? I’m still guessing and I hope you are still reading Disco.
