Is Gerrard the next target for the anti-Red site?

Steven Gerrard, Liverpool captain, has been the victim of seemingly unending rumours of late. Emails are spreading like a virus, email after email of lies about the Reds skipper.

As well as the email route, the lies are being passed around by word of mouth, but also via internet forums.

I’ve seen on more than one forum a sticky post referring to these rumours. The basic rule is, SHUT UP! Prior to those stickies being added there’d be a new poster on the hour stepping out of the shadows trying to tell us how he’d been told by Steven Gerrard’s lace replacer how true this version of the story was.

It’s pretty clear – there are so many variations on this gossip (and I’m talking about gossip relating to his personal life here, not professional life) that the vast majority must be lies by default. They can’t all be true, because they all pretty much contradict each other.

Then there’s the fact that there is no evidence whatsoever to support the claims. Nothing. In the day and age of camera phones there’s not a single frame of video or a single blurry photograph.

Add to the that the evidence to the contrary. Times and places in stories contradicted by the real whereabouts of the subjects at those times.

Then there’s those who are close to the player, or close to other players. Everything coming back is that these rumours are false, completely and utterly 100% nonsense.

Finally there’s one other reason not to discuss these issues on a Liverpool website. It’s Steven Gerrard’s personal life, not ours. What’s it got to do with us? What’s he done to us to deserve being so harshly dealt with by so many so-called Reds? I accept that some people have spoken without thinking and once they have this pointed out they feel like crap and immediately shut up.

Of course, this blog isn’t here just to defend Gerrard, even though that little rant made it sound like it. This blog is here to defend Gerrard, Rafa, Carra, Robbie, Crouch, Bellamy, Parry and anyone connected to the club (THE club) from the most obnoxious individual ever to claim to be a Liverpool supporter. To protect Liverpool FC and all those connected to it from Koptalk and its owner, Duncan Oldham.

Guess which forum hasn’t got a sticky on it telling people to stop spreading rumours about Gerrard?

Of course. Koptalk.

But it’s worse than that. Koptalk want to make money out of these rumours if they can. The Flash banner on the front of the Koptalk.coN website was recently changed. Here’s what it says:

“GERRARD RUMOURS LATEST + MORE FROM THE BOARD ROOM”

So, Duncan Oldham wants to attract new punters with the promise of all the latest rumours about Steven Gerrard, and also of course his updates on what’s happening in the board room.

We already know that he’s not got a clue about what is said in the board room, he’s not even got a clue about what is said in the staff cloak room.

But this is – to my way of thinking – another attempt from this evil twisted piece of vermin to cash in on hurting Liverpool players.

Robbie Fowler, Peter Crouch, Craig Bellamy, Rick Parry – all previous victims of Oldham’s attempted slurs. All victims due to stories made up by the so-called Liverpool-supporting liar.

Now he wants to see Gerrard suffer in return for some more pieces of silver. Or 30 pieces of gold-coloured British money to be more exact.

His own members have already started to grow tired at the lack of moderation on the forums about these lies about Stevie. What most of those members may not have realised is why Oldham isn’t moderating those posts. They haven’t spotted the connection between that banner and the fact that Oldham allows these posts to stay. Maybe they’ve not seen the banner. Well those of you reading this who still post on Koptalk have no excuse now. You can see the connection.

Oldham hates LFC.

Here’s a few snippets of what his members have been saying. This thread began with yet another version of this bullshit about Gerrard (I’ve no intention of giving it an airing in here), a few posts down and Lecter responded. And I have to say responded well, because it got a few people thinking who might not have bothered before…

Yet ANOTHER stupid thread re. Gerrard – why can’t individuals just ingnore the cr@p they are hearing, or especially stop creating new threads on the irritating topic!!

This place used to be a good source of info and banter but now it’s turning into a playground!!

I had quite a celebration tonight when I heard something that had been posted on the official site. Finally, confirmation of who was behind those anonymous anti-Rafa comments in Friday’s Mirror. Another bonus – the coward had resigned, albeit with a bit of a crap explanation of why he had to resign. Goodbye Noel White, the man responsible for helping pick England managers and failed attempts at getting rid of Spanish managers. The extra celebration was that this statement had confirmed once more that Duncan Oldham of Koptalk.coN is a liar with no contacts inside the club whatsoever.

Duncan Oldham had tried to claim that all of the other sites had it wrong. I think just about every other site I’ve looked at has contained hints at the identity of the director involved, whether it was through film references or references to Christmas. Some sites allowed forum members to talk freely about White being responsible. All sites had to take care – without proof they could, at a push, get into trouble. So rather than naming White, they dropped those big hints, or left pointers.

Not Koptalk. Oldham knew better than the other sites. They were all wrong. He was right. He said it was someone else. But he left no clues at all. He was still making it all up, a part of his big plan to make himself seem to be in the know.

As we’ve said before, Oldham has not been blessed with very much in the way of intelligence. He’s unbelievably dopey, extraordinarily stupid. He makes mistakes all the time with his bullshit. He also makes errors of judgement. He obviously thought that seeing as this director had survived the weekend he was going to survive the following few weeks. He obviously thought this director would last at least until the next AGM. So he tried to make out it was someone else. In his mind he’d be able to spin this story out for weeks, if not months.

How much of a total tit he must have felt then when at around 17.30 GMT on Hallowe’en, the official Liverpool FC website carried the following Press Statement…

“Liverpool Football Club announce that Mr Noel White has resigned from the Board of the Club with immediate effect. The move follows Mr White’s confirmation that he was the Director quoted in an article which appeared in a national newspaper last week.”

The statement goes on to quote LFC Chairman David Moores and Noel White. But those two opening sentences prove (yet again) that Oldham is a lying conman.

Just to quickly go over what we posted in an earlier entry on this blog, Oldham had been starting to cook up his plans during his “Podcast” – an hour long chat with his step-brother he occasionally posts on his site. Some extracts from the transcript we put up earlier…

10.40. By now the overweight thief is talking about that anonymous board member from last Friday. He reckons it’s all “strange”. He says, “I thought that the local media would have played it down. But why did the local media go along with it? Why did they believe it was a real director?”

And now, time for some bullshit. “I think I know who it is, and I think they know who it is, but nobody’s naming him are they?”

He goes on, regarding his inside knowledge letting him know who the director is, “If you ask me how confident I was percentage wise, I’d say I was 99% certain.”

Steve suggests he should say who the director is, but Dunk doesn’t know of course. Excuse: “I won’t name it, because I would get sued.”

12.30 Every forum that I’ve read has one person in the frame. Someone who has a name that might make you think of snow. Every other forum is wrong though, according to Oldham, who says, “I don’t think it’s that person that they’ve been suggesting. I think it’s all tied in to do with the frustration over investment. This person wants the current board out.”

And again, repeating himself, he says, “I think it’s to do with the lack of investment. This director is annoyed that Parry and Moores have turned down a particular offer. I think the board’s split.”

Steve: “I think so too”

And on Oldham goes: “Why’s nobody putting pressure on the Mirror to find out who? I think it all stems back to when Kraft was looking at the club, the first time. I don’t think this director can gain anything personally from this.”

And, continuing with his amazing insight into the world of Liverpool FC’s board, he goes on, “I think this director is genuinely pissed. I know a lot of these directors are just old farts. I don’t what they are in it for, probably because they get a shag, get a bird on the side or something like that.”

15.30 By now the topic’s changed slightly: “Sick of hearing about rotation”. Sorry, no it hadn’t changed: “I think the director went to the journalist and said ‘put what you like’. That’s what they’re like Steve, honestly.”

47.00. Mr Bullshit is still going on about the director. He doesn’t believe that the director actually was being quoted properly: “That’s why it’s bullshit, I don’t think he has got a problem with Rafa.”

He recorded that Podcast early evening on Monday. As we mentioned earlier, by late evening on Monday all of those ‘I think’s had turned into this…

I’m expecting an update on Tuesday/Wednesday from those in the same circles as THE anonymous director. It’s been confirmed to me who he is and it’s who I thought. It IS to do with investment frustration and an agenda to turn up the heat on Parry and Moores.

I could comment further on this, but I don’t see the need. Oldham – you are a liar, and a crap one at that. How many of your readers tonight saw that? How many more have started to doubt you? Only a couple of blind ones left now. I bet that even Rich Tea is wondering, although I’m not too sure about that, because he’s fallen for all of Dunk’s other scams.

And to round off what turned into a pretty decent evening, Liverpool also managed to get through to the next phase of the Champions League with a pretty good 3-0 win. Not that “impartial” Dunk is concerned or interested of course.
