Photos of Oldham’s women in here.

Duncan Oldham claims he’s got inside information from various sources in and around Anfield. And Melwood. And the Academy. He’s got mates in the press too, if you believe a word of what he says.

Complete nonsense, of course. 100%. Even more than his favourite figure of 99.9%. He’s not got mates, never mind mates in the press. His “staff” at Koptalk “HQ” are his family members. He can’t trust outsiders (non-family members), because they’ll be onto him.

His desire to get hits overrides his ability to keep up the pretence. He falls down almost daily (sometimes more than once a day even) by not keeping his lies in league with each other.

Anyway – you already knew that. Let’s have a look at some of his recent highlights.

Liverpool table £10m cash bid – reports
#1596910 – Thu Aug 10 2006 03:44 AM
Liverpool have offered Feyenoord £10million in hard cash for their striker Dirk Kuyt, according to various reports in the early hours today.

Today’s British newspapers should detail the latest claims which suggest that Liverpool have now made a straight cash offer instead of a player(s) plus cash package.

It would appear that the only thing holding this deal up is how the fee will be structured.

The player has already indicated to his current employers that he wants to join us and Rob Jansen (his agent) is rumoured to have already informed Liverpool officials what personal terms Kuyt would command.

Meanwhile Insider sources are reporting that a medical has been pencilled in for this weekend. Whether that’s for Kuyt or not we don’t know but with the player due in England with Feyenood for a friendly against Reading on Saturday, it certainly looks likely if all goes well between now and then.

He wrote that at 3.44am! He’s not happy at all with the blog, he’s not happy at all that so many of his members have left. He’s even lost moderators, and really does not know who can be trusted. As has been hinted at in the comments, plenty of those you see giving Dunk the “respect” smiley are actually fully aware of his scams and are just keeping up appearances whilst gathering material for the blog. All of this means that he just does not dare go to sleep.

This report came after Rafael Benítez admitted he’d been trying to get Dirk Kuyt and was looking at other strikers too. Rafa made the comments after the Champions League win. As Oldham says, more than one newspaper reported the offer of a £10m deal (I remember seeing it on the Mirror and Daily Post websites, I’m sure it was elsewhere too).

Then we have template number 18, from the Duncan Oldham templates folder. Here’s how it looks before editing:

Meanwhile Insider sources (NOTE: always get that in, never miss an opportunity) are reporting that a medical has been pencilled in for (early next week / later this week / this weekend – delete as appropriate). Whether that’s for (Insert current target’s name) or not we don’t know but with the player due in (insert any upcoming event attended by target, alternatively say Rick Parry is to be where the player is), it certainly looks likely if all goes well between now and then.
NOTE: Do not change “pencilled in” – it gets KT off the hook when it inevitably doesn’t happen, or if we’re lucky and it happens a few days either side. Do not remove “if all goes well” – it gets KT off the hook when it inevitably doesn’t happen.

It turns out, despite our doubts, that we were wrong about “Jeanna” and “Katie”. Or at least Dunk found two females to have their photos taken in the Koptalk office, along with Dunk’s mum. Dunk being Dunk, the liar and poor parent has once again made sure his kids were on the photos. He’s claimed all kinds of things have been threatened about his kids, that all kinds of photo manipulation has taken place of his kids. So what does he do? Remove all references to them from his site? Take their photos off the net? No, he makes his daughter an administrator on his website and persuades her to post on his site, and then he takes more photos of his son and daughter to post on the site. The photos he talks of below all have his daughter on bar one. Most also have his son on (wearing his Newcastle kit). The only one without his daughter on was the one showing only Steven, the 17-year-old editor of Koptalk.

Dunk even gave out the address of son and daughter recently in a rant about a convicted paedophile. He gave clear information about how the paedophile lived near his children (he said how near). As a result anyone who needed to could work out where his children lived. We’re still trying to work out whether Dunk’s kids live with him or not, he changes his mind regularly. From what we can gather they usually live with their mother in Scarborough during the week.

We’ve got his address in Newcastle now by the way too (we’ve had it for some time, but wanted to be sure) – if you’d like it just drop me a line.

New Liverpool kit arrives at KOPTALK HQ
#1597971 – Thu Aug 10 2006 03:05 PM
The new Liverpool FC home kit arrived at KOPTALK HQ this week. Below are a few snaps of some members of the team. Sadly we have been unable to convert (name of son removed) (6) back into a Liverpool fan, even though he’s named after Liverpool legend (removed, but not really one of Dunk’s favourite players)!

Here’s one of the photos, with Dunk’s daughter removed. She shouldn’t be on any photos on the internet if any of what Dunk claims has happened to her is true. Dunk’s not much of a parent though, as we’ve said before. What you have here are Steve on the left, Dunk’s mum Jeanette on the right. The other two might be Katie and Jianna, but could just be people who were passing, you can’t be sure.

Stop laughing at the back.

Dunk’s complete lack of insider knowledge is made pretty clear by this little exchange from his forums.

Where’s Neill Mellor?
#1595563 – Wed Aug 09 2006 01:07 PM
Just wondering what ever happened to Mellor. He was always an honest player who worked his socks off when given a chance. I know he came back from Wigan injured but is he still out? Doubt he’ll game any games this season anyway?
What ye think boyos?

He’ll be in the chippy about now

Two things not so nice about that comment. One, isn’t this a Liverpool FC fan site? So why slag off one of our players in this way? Two, if Dunk had any inside information, perhaps he’d know what Mellor’s current situation was. Other sites have insider information, even if it’s relatively trivial it’s still true. And they don’t charge £30 a year for it either! For the original poster on Koptalk, here’s a message from another website owner who does know where Mellor is up to in his rehabilitation from surgery – see this http://forum.liverpoolway.co.uk/showpost.php?p=472892&postcount=26 for the post itself, but I don’t think the site owner will mind just this once if we post what he said on here. (If he does mind, I’m sure he’ll tell me all about it). It was from Dave U, editor of the TWL Fanzine and website:

Seeing as how he couldn’t answer the poster on his site as to what is going on with Mellor, allow me to answer it for him. Maybe someone can pass it on to the poster who asked the question.

Mellor is back in training, and has been running ok. He’s had some problems twisting and turning though as his knees are still sore. The last time I texted him he was hoping to maybe feature in the Lincoln game, but it was a bit of a long shot.

So there you go Koptalk members – if you want to know things like this, small but important and true inside information, go elsewhere. Koptalk has nobody.

Koptalk does have the papers though, (including the Sun). Here’s a typical Koptalk hit-maker. A nonsense story, turned into a New Now link to generate some pop-up inducing hits.

Chelsea linked with Liverpool swoop
#1598325 – Thu Aug 10 2006 05:54 PM
Dubious reports this evening claim that Chelsea will consider a move for Liverpool’s John Arne Riise if the proposed transfer of Ashley Cole collapses.

Arsenal are refusing to accept Chelsea’s latest offer for their want-away defender and will consider looking elsewhere if you believe the reports.

We seriously doubt there’s anything in the Riise link at all and we expect that Cole will become a Chelsea player before the end of the month.

If you seriously doubt it then why give it space? Oh yes, you want the hits.

I have to include this -

Trabelsi secures City move
#1598803 – Fri Aug 11 2006 01:42 AM
Tunisian skipper Hatem Trabelsi has signed for Manchester City.

The 29-year-old right-sided defender joins City on a free transfer from Ajax.

It was rumoured that the player failed a Liverpool medical several weeks ago but those rumours were a load of rubbish although Rafa did have a sniff.

City boss Stuart Pearce said: “Hatem’s joining us subject to a work permit and we’re delighted to have him here.

“I think he’s one of the best Bosman’s of the summer personally.”

- – - – - – -

In fact Trabelsi did go to Melwood last month, as mentioned in here, but for whatever reason he did not sign. Different rumours are doing the rounds over why, but the one saying he was wearing an “I love Koptalk” t-shirt seem to be false. As for “Rafa did have a sniff” – typical Oldham Kraptalk. Which is how his site is known by most Liverpool fans. The real Kraptalk.com is well worth a read though – check it out.

REQUEST:
SMS Messages. In an attempt to keep an eye on another aspect of Oldham’s selling points for the Gold Club, we’re wondering if everyone gets the amount of texts they were promised at sign-up. Likewise for those who signed up for his £40 SMS service. Do you get the ones you were promised? If you can let us know how often you get sent texts we can try and get a feel for how much people are getting for their money. Expect a sudden rush of texts in about two hours, just as soon as fatty has read this entry.

Koptalk’s Goodbye to Robbie Fowler – “Close the Door on Your Way Out!”

by Rupert Insider

August 10, 2006

(This topic has been dealt with before on different pages. Several new readers have asked for an overview. For those not familiar with Liverpool I have added information about the restaurants and bars involved in the story. If you don’t like long posts, don’t even start!J But to break it up, we will print it in three parts over a number of days. Subsequently, it will be archived in the Read Me section as a single document).

PART 1

On the afternoon of Wednesday, the 28th November, 2001, Liverpool Football Club announced that terms had been agreed for the transfer of Robbie Fowler to Leeds United.

It was probably the biggest outward transfers in the history of the club. But Koptalk failed to predict it. It’s “Anfield Mole” had gone up a blind alley again.

Within a couple of hours of the public announcement, Duncan Oldham, the self-styled “Editor” of Koptalk published a mocking editorial entitled “Close the Door on Your Way Out”.

His site received more hits that day than at any other time, before or since.

We know from many sources – including a published interview with Jamie Redknapp – that Robbie was devastated, distraught and in tears as he said goodbye to his team mates and the staff at Melwood and Anfield he had known since he was fifteen years of age. Houllier had not given him a chance to say goodbye to his loyal fans on the Kop. It could not have helped him to know that the Editor of the largest supporters’ fan site (as it was at that time) was celebrating his departure with the spiteful cry “good riddance to bad rubbish”.

But there was more to come.

When Peter Risdale, the Executive Director of Leeds United, announced that his club’s medicals would take a day to complete, Oldham was quick to explain that what Risdale really meant was that Fowler would be subjected to rigorous tests for drug and alcohol abuse – so the transfer might not yet happen. When Friday brought the news that Robbie had passed the medical tests with flying colours, Oldham did not then concede the flip-side of his argument – that the extra-stringent tests refuted the slander and lies about Fowler, alcohol and drugs that Oldham had been peddling for more than two years.

He just shifted the direction of the attack. The transfer fee was £11 million, somewhat less than Liverpool’s presumed asking price of £15 and less than the £12 million Chelsea was thought to have offered earlier that year. Oldham offered an “inside” spin that the actual fee was nearer £8 million, with additional monies to be paid only after certain appearance and performance thresholds, which, he said, Fowler would not be able to reach. He went on to say that the £11 million was merely a face-saving figure. It amounted to humiliation for Fowler considering that Owen would fetch offers in the £40-50 million ranges from European teams.

Well we all know what codswallop all that turned out to be!

A contributor to the Wikipaedia entry on LFC states what many believe – that while Gerard Houllier acted as though he was an admirer of Fowler’s character and talents he simultaneously orchestrated a PR campaign to force him out of the club. Chris Bascombe of the Liverpool Echo has written retrospectively on Houllier’s manipulative tactics with respect to Fowler. And Fowler, himself, has dealt with it in his recent autobiography.

There are some who suggest that in 1999-2001 Koptalk aligned itself with the alleged Houllier’s strategy to weaken the hold Fowler had on the affections of the supporters and the Board of Directors.

Certainly, Koptalk’s forums were dominated by articulate anti-Fowler posters who seemed to regard themselves as Houllier’s little-helpers. Many of them also related their anti-Fowler stance to their support of Michael Owen. They regarded Fowler as the injured but recovering “rival” to their favourite, both in the LFC and England squads. But that was their prerogative as fans – to express opinions – and, to be fair; there was a minority on Koptalk who tried to oppose the dominant view.

But this blog is not about Koptalk’s posters, it is about Duncan Oldham. And we know he had no dealings with Houllier or Owen or anyone at Anfield. So what were his motives for his personal anti-Fowler campaign? For a reply, look no further than what he said on his site last week – that in “this lark” of running a web site his motive is “always to look after No.1”.

And that’s what this blog post is about – not about the merits of the Houllier-Fowler conflict – but about some of the ways Oldham sought to make money from it.

I’d like to take you back to July 2000, to the Moat House hotel on Paradise Street in Liverpool. That’s where Robbie was assaulted in the lobby toilet by two guys. But that is the subject of PART 2 which will be posted in a couple of days!!
