Streaming service in decline at Koptalk

Koptalk HQ RoofIt’s been a busy day today for the blog. It’s not showing any signs of stopping either – the hits are right up, but so is the amount of stuff to post about.

Tonight sees Liverpool playing their first game since Duncan’s previous supplier of information on football streams left Koptalk. The provision of streams and highlights from games is one of the main selling points Oldham has for his Gold Club. How will he cope without his free help? He’ll have to do what many Reds will have done tonight, and use Google or other search engines to find the streams.

And without any real effort at all tonight I found information on streams, free of charge, on various websites. Dunk’s not got anything special on his site, despite his claims. Nothing worth paying £30 for anyway.

Here’s his announcement, or one of them, about what the new streaming service from Koptalk will be like.

Liverpool v FSV Mainz 05 – WATCH IT LIVE
#1588852 – Fri Aug 04 2006 05:36 PM

Liverpool fans based in Germany will be able to tune into this evening’s pre-season friendly against FSV Mainz 05 via satellite.

German channel DSF are showing the game live. This channel can also be received in the UK if you have a motorised dish and digital satellite receiver.

The transmission is free-to-air (FTA) which means no viewing card is required. German Reds can receive DSF via the Astra satellite at 19 degrees East on 12480V 27500.

You cannot receive DSF via a typical Sky Digital satellite system.

Members in the KopTalk Gold Club are reporting that the game can be watched for free via the internet. We are unable to publish this information openly as the feds will not approve due to various legalities.

* A photo of some of the antennas at KOPTALK HQ including our motorised satellite dish which we use to pull in feeds from all over the world.
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -

The picture on this page shows Dunk’s radio antennae and his moving dish. I expect he’s got planning permission for all these things – you certainly need it for a dish over a certain size, or if you want more than one dish on your house. I’ll dig the details out some other time, but Dunk certainly used to be interested in radio scanners in the past. Try a search on Google Groups if you want to look yourself in the meantime.

So once again, Dunk says that the Koptalk Gold Club contains the information needed to watch the games for free. The legal situation isn’t as clear in this case, it’s a friendly, but Dunk’s sufficiently frightened of the consequences of providing the information to use an alias. Yep – it’s the return of “NJRED”, someone we’ve mentioned before. It’s Dunk, even trying to imply this person isn’t from the UK!

I’ve censored the actual links, because I’m not sure of the legality of me posting them on here, and let’s face it, it’s not hard to go and find the links yourself if you really want to.  As for wezo and bazza, I doubt they got any help more than the links posted by Duncan’s NJRED alias. He’s not got a clue how to use them himself, he uses his motorised dish to watch the games.

NJRED is not a prolific poster, as his full list of posts shows -

It’s all video links, links to streams, and a couple of times where Dunk forgot to log out of his NJRED account before replying to other threads.

Someone else who probably only joined the Gold Club for the access to streaming information isn’t sure what’s happened. All of the information left on the site by Red Al has gone. No sticky from Oldham though to explain.

There’s still a lot of confusion over what happened -

My guess is due to the legalities of viewing TV streams over the internet, this won’t be made available on KT.

As I understand it some people grassed up what Red Al was doing here, or at least threatened him, so he asked Dunk to take the stuff off.

Sucks really, Red Al was a legend and made the lives of Liverpool fans who come here a lot better. What makes it even worse is that it was probably so-called Liverpool fans looking to do down Koptalk that were behind it.

Make-up frenzy over Dutchman

First of all, thanks to TalkLFC for giving us a huge plug – it even got on NewsNow – http://www.newsnow.co.uk/cgi/NGoto/154355719?-11194.

Click that link and you’ll be taken to the TalkLFC article – and whilst there why not register for their forums?

I’ve added a new article to the Read Me section. It’s a great summary of some of the infamous Koptalk Lies and was submitted by one of you – but the writer asked to be kept anonymous.

An example of a Koptalk Lie that didn’t make it into that summary was this one – more of Duncan’s false spin on something that happened yesterday. He was responding to questions from an insider member about what had happened to Red_Al_77 to make him leave -

Al was targeted by former members from here. He has a family and career to think about. Best left.

I don’t believe that’s the truth actually is it Mr Oldham?

The following could well be the truth, but where’s Dunk got the information from if it is? Well it will either be made-up guesswork, taken from another website, or read in a paper. It always is on the lie-spinning Koptalk.coN.  One of the aims of this blog is to save you your (up to) 30 quid subs for the Koptalk pay-site (10 quid off for cash in hand, nudge-nudge, wink-wink). We give you their bullshit for free.

Feyenoord developments
#1588628 – Fri Aug 04 2006 03:32 PM

Feyenoord are meeting Rob Jansen over the weekend to discuss Dirk Kuyt’s future. Liverpool should know by Tuesday what the current state of play is.

Rick Parry is “rumoured” to have met Jansen earlir this week. I have no idea where and I don’t know if that’s true.

#1588588 – Fri Aug 04 2006 03:08 PM

I don’t know about you but pre-season friendlies bore me senseless. I totally understand what they’re about but football to me is a bigger picture. With no atmosphere and no passion, I’m left praying for full-time.

The actual results mean nothing to me and neither do the performances of individuals which is why I can’t understand why some fans have been crying about Mark Gonzalez for example. The lad’s class but just because he did well in Spain doesn’t mean he will here. I understand that but I’m confident he will.

We don’t like covering pre-season friendlies on KOPTALK RADIO because there’s little to talk about but as the game won’t be widely covered on television, we will put 50p in the meter and let you know how the game pans out.

I expect the big guns will figure more today so let’s hope they come through unscathed for the big kick-off against Chelsea. While that may be a glorified pre-season friendly, there’ll certainly be no friendship on display. Look out for the KOPTALK plane and our banner above the stadium before kick-off!

Expect activity in the transfer market next week…

Duncan Oldham

KOPTALK

Duncan – Liverpool’s first competitive fixture takes place before the Chelsea game. It’s at a ground many Liverpool fans know well – the Anfield Stadium. It’s a Champions League qualifier. The first leg of a tie that could be worth millions to us. I think that you’ll call that “the big kick-off” really. You’ve got tickets for the Chelsea match at Cardiff though haven’t you? Yes, we look forward to how you bullshit your way around the fact that you won’t actually be going to the game yourself. Auction?

As for “Expect activity in the transfer market next week…” – are you now Russell Grant?

Next up with rumours on Mr Kuyt is “Private_eye_2″. Well, I say “next” – but this actually appeared at 9.27am, about 6 hours before Oldham said anything. Then again, “Private_eye_2″ could actually be Dunk. Most of the remaining (none-blog-reading) members are.

Feyenord negotiating
#1587817 – Fri Aug 04 2006 09:27 AM

The confidence that has been apparent in Rafa and co, stems from the fact that they have been secretly negociating with Feyenord officials to agree a fee for Kuyt. I reported way back (not bragging) that we had offered Krompkamp and/or Dudek as part of a deal. We know this was rejected, mainly because Feyenord didnt see the need to sell. Kuyt was always keen on a move but didnt want to be seen to be trying to engineer a move and upset the fans that have treated him so well. However, Feyenord’s tough stance has forced Kuyt’s camp to make a move and declare his desire to leave but only to Liverpool. This is important as it shows the Feyenord faithful that he simply wanted to move to a bigger club albeit one with ambition. It would not have looked good had he simply declared he wanted to go and would consider all offers.

This has forced Feyenord to negotiate. My understanding is that both parties are fairly close on the valuation but it will take a week or two to sort the structure of the fee etc. Reports of other interested parties are probably designed to disrupt the talks and/or force LFC to pay a bigger fee etc but it is too late at this stage.

I expect this to be a straight forward process and Kuyt to be a Liverpool player by the end of the month. (Well if he’s not a Liverpool player by the end of the month there’s going to be a bit of wait isn’t there?)

Was at a corporate event yesterday got speaking with somebody loosely connected to LFC, last year at the same event he told me Baros was going to Villa a good 3 weeks before it happened (predicted the fee and wages correctly)

Anyway was talking to him and he claimed that a deal for Kuyt was imminent (he seemed to have pretty good reasons for saying this but unfortunately it would give away who he is and I wont do that)

Anyway have texted my source but doubt will get a reply till tonight / tomorrow

More attacks on Parry from Duncan Oldham

When Dunk makes stuff up he likes to make sure it’s heard. Last night / early hours of this morning, clearly trouble by the latest high-profile departures from his rapidly dwindling user-base, he decided it was time to pretend he had friends on the Anfield board.

Sorry about your pet Dunk, and I await your latest offering once the head settles down, but I wonder what you think of the other rumours circulating that the problem signing Kuyt is not to do with the Chairman but more to do with Mr Parry. I realise there has always been a camp inclined to “blame Parry because he is an accountant”, and I am not a big fan of accountants myself (they are the only known organism that can survive in a vacuum), but I wonder if your inside knowledge might dispell the idea or shed some light on the rumours?

People blame Moores, people blame Parry. It depends who you listen to. Parry can only do what Moores provides him with but on the other hand Parry is the man who is supposed to deliver the money to Moores by finding investment. Parry was expected to do a lot when he came from the Premier League, I don’t think he has.

There is at least one board member who favours a change. While he has a great deal of respect for Moores and Parry, he thinks the club has been foolish with the likes of Morgane etc.

Truth be told they’re all responsible somewhere. Good intent is great but what do fans want? Do they want the odd trophy here and there or do they want more?

Any take-over is a gamble and losing someone like Moores does worry me in one way because he is after all one of us whatever people say.

It’s a shame we have to look for blame. I think it would be best if they all got round a table i.e. Morgan, Moores, Jefferies, Parry and the rest of the board. If they’re all fans, then work together for the benefit of the club. Make personal sacrifices and forget rivalries.
Post Extras:
Note how he says Moores is “one of us”. Duncan is not one of “us”, as in the supporters of Liverpool football club who, to varying degrees, put that club before many other things in life. I’m not one to criticise anyone for the number of games they attend, how many shirts they buy, etc. If you do something that helps the club then that’s to be applauded, but not expected. If you do something that hinders the club, or is an attempt to cause problems for the club, then that is to be condemned.  Duncan’s constant theft from the club and personal attacks on members of the club is also to be condemned. Dunk, despite what he’d like us to think, is never going to be “one of us”. Never.

He hints at having a member of the board communicating with him. He hasn’t of course. Not even Steve “Morgane”.

I forget which way round it was, but the above post was on either the Gold Club or the Insider Club. His spontaneous reply to a question from a user in the “Aggressive take-over attempt ditched – transfer stuff so” thread. Or was it spontaneous? Funnily enough, he came up with the exact same response in another thread. Including the typo of “Morgane”.

A challenge from Wallet.

Why oh why does Dunk pick a time when I’m busy with other things to give us so much material? It’s not all his fault, but there’s so much to say. I’ll try and get as much of it on here as possible today. It’s Friday, so I suppose it’s traditional not to be doing any “work”…

Anyway, it looks like a poster called “markrobbi” has come out of his usual hiding (91 posts in 18 months means he’s no ‘Matt Biscan’). He’s done it to challenge the infamous “wallet”. I’d not be surprised to hear he’s now banned, but we’ll see…

over the past few months i’ve logged onto koptalk everyday and read through thousands of posts. one thing i have noticed is some so called ‘insiders’ are so obvoiusly not! sorry to doubt you as a source but the ‘wallet’i feel is clealy no more in the ‘know’ than me! i’ve noticed that all he does is repeats what Chris Bascombe states in the echo a couple of days later then take credit from everyone for being an insider! in this instance Chris stated 2 days ago that a bid for kuyt was in the pipelin for the next couple of days & surprise surprise the wallet informs us that a bid will be going in!

sorry to doubt but this really does any me!

You’re entitled to your opinion mate so I’ve no bones with what you’ve said. I would however like you to support what you’ve said with facts. I’m aware of who Chris Bascombe is but I don’t read the echo other than links that are posted here on occasion. The only journalist I really have time for is Dave Maddock of the Mirror who is on the money more often than not from what I’ve been told.

In any case I’d be very surprised if Mr Bascombe was able to quote a fee seeing as it was only approved by the Board yesterday.

You’re welcome to back up your opinion by doing a search on my posts and then comparing them to any articles you wish but I’m more than sure you’ll find the time of my posts is prior to any articles containing the same information.

Good luck with that..

As I’ve said, I’m busy today, so I’ve not got time (yet). Does anyone want to help out with the challenge set down by “wallet”? I think you are looking for more than one article, but I’ve seem to remember the following things quoted in the Echo / the Post / elsewhere.

1) Rafa has said he wants another striker (for sure).

2) It was hinted that it would be aimed for some time this week / by the end of the week.

3) The asking price for the player, still unmatched by LFC, was quoted as £10m. Liverpool were going to make another offer close to that amount.

One other thing – do the board have to approve transfer fees? I’m prepared to be told I’m wrong here, but wouldn’t there be budgets set for overall spending on transfer fees? Surely having to gather the board together for a meeting to settle the nitty gritty of every transfer fee would be too time consuming? And Dunk usually blames it all on Parry anyway.

Please – if you’ve time, after your Friday afternoon liquid lunch perhaps, get the evidence together for Mr Oldham. I mean “wallet”.
