Dunk’s new alias provides LFC v Crewe goal

Dunk’s got a new alias.

NJRED.

This user became a member of the Gold Club today, and has made 11 posts in total. First of all though, the links to the videos. It seems Dunk’s realised how dodgy it was to store match coverage on his own server. As long as he uses dodgy video clips to help plug his pay-sites we’ll continue to repeat the information here. If he took all the mentions of it out of his promotional material, and stopped referring to it, we’d probably not need to show the links any more. For now though, it’s in the same category as “fake transfer rumours” – you should be paying him for this.

So why choose NJRED as an alias? Pretending to be Smoov(e)? I thought Dunk’s XBox friend was from NY rather than NJ? Maybe NJ means Newcastle Jeanette.

I think that “Red Del” is a real user. It’s just a coincidence that “Del” was an alias Duncan once used to rip people off with dodgy Sky cards. See this post – Alternative Reading – for a couple of links to Dunk’s past as Del Johnson the Sky Card seller and as Miss Hargreave’s Adult Friend Finder.
He forgot to log back in as himself (he had the same problem when he was pretending to be Del) and so gives the game away a little bit more. He recently mentioned how he liked the new Arsenal stadium when he was logged in as Dunk. But if he was an “NJ” Red, more than likely based in New Jersey USA, how the hell’s he watching Channel 5?

missed 2 sitters, looks a bit cr*p, as does the emirates stadium! does not have an impressive atmosphere or feel to the place … doesn’t have feel of anfield, old trafford or highbury!

Lovely stadium though.

The cleaner and the cleaner up.

Spotted – KT Katie.

We used our super secret snooping system to get the picture you’ve all been waiting for.

kt_katie_cleaner.jpg

It turns out that Katie is actually the cleaner for the Koptalk portacabin. That’s why she was bending down, she was cleaning the desk. That’s quite a relief. “She” wasn’t giving “relief”. (Thanks to “Alan” for the idea.)
balls_ball.jpg

We are now asking for your recollections on Dunk’s various auctions and general sale of LFC-related items over the past few years. This ball is an example of the sort of stuff he sells on his site. Nobody has a problem with that really, as long he’s selling it for what it is and as long as he admits he’s selling it for what it’s really worth. Knowing Duncan though there’ll be something wrong.

Did you buy a ball like this? Did he claim it was a genuine Champions League ball, made by Adidas, signed by Liverpool’s players? Was it a genuine Adidas ball? Was it signed by Liverpool players?

Things like this usually have a certificate of authenticity – did yours include one?

Another item he was selling fairly recently was a replica Champions League medal. Did you buy it? Did you get ripped off? I’m assuming he admitted it wasn’t a real medal. I’m assuming it was an official UEFA product (if not then UEFA would class it as a counterfeit item and it would be worthless to many collectors).

How about tickets? Has he sold any tickets in auctions? Have you bought one? How much did you pay? We don’t really like touts, and we’ve heard rumours – but that’s all. If you’ve bought tickets off Duncan at face value let us know too, because he needs some positive press.

How about memorabilia for other clubs? A signed Alan Shearer sock? A Martin Jol wig?

For many people football memorabilia is something they buy as an investment, and fair play to them if they manage to make a profit on it. As long as it’s genuine.

That’s why the football seems a bit odd – when he was advertising it I seem to recall he was saying that he had a number of them in stock. Does this sound right? Something doesn’t seem to fit – so I’d appreciate any information. Perhaps you know something about these things because you are a collector yourself – what would a genuine certificate of authenticity need to say on it to be considered acceptable to a collector? Email me in confidence or leave a comment.

Otherwise we’ll send Katie round to clean you up.

Iron is missed and someone’s got a wig on.

A lot of people asking what’s happened to Anfield Iron.

well up to him whatever he does and not really for you to be telling everyone that.

People can email him if they so wish still and he will email people still no doubt to say how he is doing.
——————————————-

Tom left a comment on an earlier post about what’s happened to Anfield Iron.

After that, it will no doubt lighten the mood to have another of Duncan’s unintended comedy moments. He tries, I’ll give him that.

He posted a video of Steve’s “new toy” – the thing he was calling Prozac earlier in the week. It’s some sort of whiteboard, but it’s green and has a football pitch marked on it. He got Steve to stand at that board, pretending to be working out tactics. He got his mum to stand at another thing on the wall, no idea what – some kind of year-planner? Then he got another person to stand just in front of the camera. After filming Steve for around 10 to 12 seconds he zooms back out to a wider shot of the office, the video cuts out just after. Here’s a still from the end of the video.

And here’s Dunk talking about it.

Cheeky! That’s me mam (far end) and Katie nearest.

It’s so obviously not an 18-year-old college student called Katie stood at the front of the shot, bending over, but who is it? Has Dunk’s new camera he bought for all his coverage of Premiership games (as if he goes to matches) got a remote control and a tripod?  Or a remote control and he propped it up on a cupboard? Or is it Steve’s dad wearing the wig?

Duncan – thanks for giving me, and thousands of readers of this blog, a BIG laugh.

Nearly as big a laugh as your mention of hosting costs rising to what was it? TEN GRAND a year? You even say you  “negotiated” for that price. Judging by the visitor levels you got I’m prepared to make you an offer. I’ll do it for five grand.  Send me an email. I’ll even thrown in a scarf of any premiership club of your choosing (allow extra time for Spurs or Newcastle scarves to be delivered).

This could be funny. Will it go ahead though? Has Dunk got the bottle to allow one of his members to visit him? Will he really let us into his wonderful headquarters?

Koptalk HQ
#1563073 – Fri Jul 21 2006 10:39 PM

Dunk I have just read your post about the changes to Koptalk. I will admit that I am a doubter but would love the opportunity to visit KopTalk HQ.

I am travelling down Newcastle way in a few weeks with my young daughters (1 & 4) and would greatly appreciate the chance to put some of my doubts to rest.

This is an honest request and perhaps some pics of us visiting on the site would help sway other doubters?

What do you say? Are you up for allowing my family and I to visit?

Anyone can come visit. You’re most welcome.

Don’t see what you can doubt personally. We’re a website, not MI5. Justification isn’t for me so I don’t think taking snaps of two young kids sat in our office will appease the enemy – sort it via Steve

JD, just gonna post a clip I’ve just filmed.

Post Extras: Print Post   Remind Me!   Notify Moderator

Sorry, I’ll leave you to laugh for a little bit longer.

Finished? No? At least you’ve calmed down a little. The clip he posted so that JD could see “Katie” was the one we just spoke about. That’s all you’re going to see of “Katie” – Steve’s dad can’t get the stubble short enough.

Finally (for now) – another bit of a backfire for Dunk’s lockdown – or blogdown.

What do you think of the Games Arcade?

If PM’s were enabled we could challenge each other… shame people can’t be trusted

We all know the real reason PMs (personal messages) were disabled don’t we? So that he can stop members telling each other about this blog – the one that doesn’t bother him. The one that made him take his forums offline for 15 minutes last week so that he could hide member’s email addresses. It used to be their choice whether they were displayed or not. Some people have suggested members should put their email addresses into one of the other fields instead so that they can be contacted. You can always set up a hotmail or gmail account for that purpose, separate from your usual email account. And if you need a Gmail invite send me an email and ask me for one – I’ll gladly send you an invite (while stocks last, but I’ve got a fair few)

Anyway – any more theories on who was wearing the wig?
