I’ve just received this update from Dunk, by email from one of our readers. Here it is in full -
The Michael Shields campaign team have been in touch with me this evening informing us that they have been contacted from some anti-KopTalkers – former (banned) forum members and/or others asociated to rival sites – who are trying to spin some yarns about your host.
What these people don’t know is that Matt from www.freemichaelshields.org and myself, have been in touch behind the scenes on a regular basis.
Not many people know this but I personally arranged a £1000 donation from my own pocket, to try and help Michael’s cause, just like you guys helped Lauren and her family when she was paralysed in 2004.
When I make donations I don’t ask for publicity. For example, when I donated a new PC to the HJC, I didn’t ask them to mention this on their website, just like we haven’t asked for any publicity on Michael’s campaign website.
In an email to myself today, Matt informed us about these idiots and explained that Michael’s family wanted to distance themselves from them, just like Lauren’s family has done by having to take down the Lauren Forsyth website following threats.
Matt said: “I’ve asked them to make it clear that the michaelshields campaign have no problem with you or KopTalk. In fact we’re grateful for the support and the donation.”
He added: “If I see anything on other LFC forums I’ll put the record straight.”
It was because of him tipping us off that I thought I’d throw something up on the site.
As Matt can confirm, KopTalk owns www.michaelshields.co.uk – this is used to route to our own campaign pages about Michael. He has been aware of this since day 1 when I discussed it with him.
However, since our site makeover, our campaign pages haven’t returned fully yet and until we receive a fresh update from the family, they won’t. They will be added when I decide and not before.
Rivals of KopTalk have not only been targeting myself, my mother (a widow), my son (6) and my daughter (13) but they have also targeted my paralysed cousin Lauren.
A decision was made earlier this week to simply move Lauren’s website to another URL and restrict access to friends and family only as a result.
There have also been suggestions that fundraising for Lauren was some kind of ploy for me to personally benefit from. ALL administration and donations have been handled by my mother Jeanette who can verify this along with Lauren’s parents. All of whom are available to meet personally. This can be arranged at anytime.
The reason postal donations went to the same address as KopTalk’s North East office is because I’m hardly going to put her home address on am I you fecking numpties doh… which looking at the last couple of weeks shows why. Shame on you for including her in your agenda.
Website rivalry sadly exists, which is a shame considering all Reds should be one united family. I don’t class KopTalk as a rival to anyone, you won’t see me bad mouthing ANY other websites or communities – EVER. And the rejects? Well they have to go somewhere and over the years there’s certainly been a few of them… so many infact that numerous sites have spawned up from them as a result.
During the last few weeks some of these individuals have played on the following issues to try and have a pop at me:

These photos have been freely available on this website for my friends to see etc but they have been altered and circulated for some kind of perverted reasons.
Despite all of this I can assure you that thanks to the support of my readers – many of whom have become good friends over the years – I’m as strong as ever. Offers from let’s say ‘underworld’ readers to have them dealt with have been declined.. even though the emails have been humerous
There is no justification for trying to capitalise on extremely sensitive issues. But if it keeps them amused talking and playing with photos of my children then so be it.
But I tell you this, I aint going anywhere. KopTalk will continue ticking on until the day my readers tell me to call time. They’re the only people that count to me both here and on the main site. And this summer visitor numbers are up along with people supporting this site. Why the sudden interest in my book? I hadn’t been promoting it of late but they’re helping sales which is why I don’t want to comment too much as a lot of the internet myths will be answered in it when it comes out THIS season.

What others choose to say doesn’t phase me in the slightest. I’ve had it for years and no doubt it will continue for years so please stop telling us what they’re saying coz I aint fussed. It’s what happens when you don’t tolerate idiots and when you achieve things that they can only dream of.
Thanks for the emails of support. Without them, I’d probably be gassing myself out in the oven.. although it is electric….
The reason I’m posting this in the open is because they have access here. Sadly they haven’t got the guts to say what their usernames are, unlike myself who’s at KOPTALK HQ just about every day of the week. Come and visit us.
I don’t want to bore you all to death with this and I know they’re pathetic but I had to respond as while some of you may think it’s funny, it’s actually hurting people not associated to me. It doesn’t hurt me because if it did, I wouldn’t be here but to target others is a bit sick and a bit gutless.
Don’t respond to them, don’t defend the site.. just ignore them.

I’ve not seen this update myself, in fact I had just finished reading an email from elsewhere telling me that Duncan Oldham had reportedly made a sizeable donation to the family and to also redirect the domain name. I’ll refrain from further comment on that issue until I have had chance to find out some more information. If Dunk has indeed made a large donation to this cause then it shows that the person we all thought was bad through and through maybe has got some good in him. Especially if this donation was indeed given confidentially – I know I hadn’t heard of it. In the meantime I’ll assume that what Duncan says above about Michael and his family is true.
At last – something good to say about Duncan Oldham. And I am not being sarcastic when I say that, because it has become quite tedious reporting negative issues every day about Mr Oldham.
Unfortunately, rather than just sticking to what put him in a good light, Oldham then had to add more lies and exaggerations to his rant. I feel it’s important we discuss them.
For example, when he says, “when I donated a new PC to the HJC, I didn’t ask them to mention this on their website” – how come I and many others knew all about it? Did I imagine it and it was a coincidence? Or was it being publicised? And from what I hear, it was a long time coming that computer – he’d promised it (in public) for a good while before he finally bought it for them. For more on the HJC computer look here – post I found on TLW after googling – I’ve not time right now to look into it in more detail. Maybe someone else can supply me an update.
This bit is a little misleading too. Pretending you’ve contacted the police about these threats won’t work either. Should we contact them too, to see what they were? There were no threats Oldham, but you prove it to us and maybe we’ll be able to help you to catch those who made them.

Again, Oldham claims his six-year-old son and thirteen-year-old daughter have been “targetted”. Who by Oldham? Not by us, I guarantee it. You are their father, yet you only see them at weekends, yet you claim to still be with their mother. Has their been some previous action against you regarding their welfare? Certainly the way you continue to post their photos and details on your website, even using your daughter’s photo to plug your book, could be described by some as exploitation. Perhaps it’s time social services were warned about the way Dunk uses his children.
And if you don’t like your mum being part of the criticism of your site then you shouldn’t give her name and other details out as part of your “staff” and as a contact for people to go to when they want to pay thirty quid for your Gold Club. She’s paid to look after your site, and is a contact for your site. You even say that it’s her and Steve who have been locking out your paying customers. Don’t blame her if she’s not done it. And if she has, she deserves a complaint or two from people who are the victims of theft from the Oldham family.
The actions of the Oldhams relating to Lauren have been reported already to authorities, so it’s best I say no more on that issue. Until then there’s no need to meet those people personally, we’ll leave that to the authorities.
Stop saying “Rivals of KopTalk” as well Oldham – unless you consider this site a rival site. Is that what your site is now – a blog attacking a liar? That’s all this site is – a blog that shows people the truth about Duncan Oldham.
Can anyone see how this can be true? He says. “Website rivalry sadly exists, which is a shame considering all Reds should be one united family. I don’t class KopTalk as a rival to anyone, you won’t see me bad mouthing ANY other websites or communities – EVER.” How can it be true, in light of our cyber squatting article earlier? Certainly not if he wants all Reds to be a “united family”. Again, anyone who won’t follow the Duncan Oldham way is classed as a reject – “And the rejects?” is what he always says.

He lists the other two issues about which we’ll not be talking again just yet. We are not “playing” on the issue. We are reporting the way Duncan Oldham shows complete disregard for that particular issue with his blatant support of the Sun. He even tried to slur Peter Crouch as part of his work for that newspaper. And I refer you back to the TLW article mentioned above for more on Duncan Oldham’s disregard for the victims of Hillsborough.

Duncan published photos of his father last week, and I certainly recognised that as one he’s published before. He’s shown his site visitors photos of his daughter and son for years (he even used to have a section on Koptalk written by his daughter, and told people to keep things clean on his site for that reason. Now he has a porn section and porn advertising.) I personally have not seen any manipulated photos of his children, so who’s doing it? Until he can prove otherwise, nobody is doing anything with photos of his children. However, as we say, perhaps that’s a matter for the social workers of Scarborough and Newcastle. And what are these “perverted reasons” exactly Duncan? What could they be? I really am at a loss in that respect. I’d also urge Rupert to tell us again about Mr Oldham telling his step-brother Steve on Koptalk Radio about how he condoned the rape of girls under the age of 16. It’s certainly another point worth spelling out to those social service departments. And it may be just the tip of the iceberg.
Perhaps when the police seize those Koptalk computers soon they’ll find these emails: “Offers from let’s say ‘underworld’ readers to have them dealt with have been declined.. even though the emails have been humerous” Although I very much doubt there were any.
Now the person who (for one example) uses his wife’s miscarriage to earn himself sympathy whenever he likes says this – “There is no justification for trying to capitalise on extremely sensitive issues.” No, but ignoring sensitive issues so that you can read your favourite rag isn’t justified is it? “But if it keeps them amused talking and playing with photos of my children then so be it.” Prove it Oldham – you’ve got our email address. AND DON’T FORGET TO INCLUDE THOSE FULL EMAIL HEADERS. Until you do, you’re a liar. But you knew that anyway.
Some defiance, understandably – “But I tell you this, I aint going anywhere. You did say sales? I hope it’s going to be declared. If you mean interest then you’ll find people are extracting the urine.
It now seems that Duncan Oldham’s rant was said despite him being unconcerned – “I aint fussed” he says. And then – “It’s what happens when you don’t tolerate idiots and when you achieve things that they can only dream of.” First of all, you don’t tolerate people you describe as idiots – you ban anyone who has the remotest bit of dissent against you. And if you’d consider facing reality for just one short moment, I think you’ll find that most people would consider spending their days in a shed with their mother and step-brother even though they were now in their mid-thirties, wife left, kids can only be seen at weekends, as something they would never, ever, call a dream.

And you’ll not take our access away will you, because you’re prepared to allow free speech?
As for meeting you, we’ve been waiting all week for you to go to the North West. We’d wanted to meet you at one of the airports. Somewhere before or after your meeting with Rick Parry. But you lied. You weren’t going to the North West. You weren’t meeting Mr Parry. And if we’d arranged to meet you, you’d have run away. A lot of people want to meet you – why not sort something out, nearer to Anfield. We can ask you our questions face to face then. In fact, why not at Anfield. Shall we book a meeting room there? You pay for it, we’ll be there. We’ll let you know numbers nearer the time. Book a big room though.
Another lie here – “It doesn’t hurt me, because if it did, I wouldn’t be here.” Oh it does Duncan, it does. Some of those close to you have told us how much it hurts you. Because “you” is your best friend. And again, this targetting nonsense – “but to target others is a bit sick and a bit gutless.” Who exactly have we “targetted”? Except you and your Koptalk “staff”? Talking of which – where’s the staff page you promised us with “Gianna” on it?
And try some of this yourself: “Don’t respond to them, don’t defend the site.. just ignore them.” And “Dunk knows best” – yes – best way to kill what could have been a good site.
And that’s where the problem lies really – Duncan Oldham turned what was on its way to becoming a very good site in the late nineties into a site which disgraces the Liverpool name. Just like he turned what could have been some long-awaited positive publicity into something extremely negative. Silly boy.
