“The Wallet” tries to explain why he made stuff up

fat_wallet_300.gifThe insider website had a restless native. “Whitey85″, probably a 21-year-old with a surname of White, but we are guessing, was being brave.

He confronted Dunk. “Hey Dunk, what’s all this about Alves being a done deal, you liar, it’s all over the press that it’s not going to happen. Liar.” Sorry, I did paraphrase a little there, but you get what I mean. And he actually confronted “The Wallet”, not Dunk.

And “Penman” – write yourself some sense and see through the nonsense. As for you “Liverfool”, don’t live up to your name. Actually if both members find this blog they’ll probably feel a little sheepish at how naive they’ve been. If you know them, tell them we’ll forgive them.

Just heard about the Alves deal being a non starter.

Has your source confirmed the deal is dead? or are these just stories coming from Seville to let us know no matter how many players we are linked with they wont budge on the price?

I think hed be a cracking signing but as each day passes the likelihood of it happening seems less and less likely.

That’s not eally going to encourage people with inside information to post, is it?

Just becuase a deal falls through doesn’t mean the inside info was wrong. It’s a negotiation. Things change. Quit calling down the people who try to help us.

Damn right , we’ve lost too many insiders upstairs because of goons having a go at them when a deal doesn’t happen. This is life, deals collapse every day. The info we have had from the Wallet so far has been excellent, he’s a genuine insider, and I hope he continues to share what he knows with us regardless of whether the deal happens or not!

I’m not big fan of Alves anyway, I’d prefer Simao!

I haven’t posted anything over the last few days because there has been no change. The deal is still on the table at an agreed price (they are not attempting to jack it up as reported elsewhere) but they want a greater sum paid upfront than we are willing to give. Rafa wants Alves make no mistake, it’s how we fund the deal without effecting the rest of his kitty that is causing the delay.

I can see this. Obviously if Rafa can get him with just paying £4-5 million upfront it can free more funds for this summer. Obviously Seville want as much as they can get.

Makes perfect sense.

Thanks Wallet … needed to hear that. Lec’s source is claiming that Seville now want £15m!!! Another Simao situation.

Parry has been working on two deals simultaneously for the past 8 days…I don’t know anything of the Sky Andrew news so add this to the equation and there is a lot of ifs, buts and maybes…

Do you think there’s serious room for compromise?

My contact certainly does. Seville have already bought a replacement and Rafa wants him desperately.

Any ideas of the other deal?

And where does Trabelsi fit in?

Good stuff, as usual

Figaro seems to go along with that – “Alves still hasn’t said anything publically – what Del Nido actually said was that he hadn’t heard anything from LFC for a week so he ‘thinks’ the deal is on hold.”

Alves will be signing as soon as we got some money from the Barragan (or other) sale.

It’s more like £ 1.5 million that the amount you’re stating bud.

“Lecter” and “Fredo” seem to think they know stuff. If they don’t then it could be wise now to disappear before they embarrass themselves. If (as unlikely as it seems) they do know stuff, why not send it on to us? Give it out for free, like we do.

Today’s one-tenth – Walrus sit-ups

Hints have been made by those nice people at Koptalk that they think I spend my whole life on here and on the Caboodle “Network”. All that time because all I do is try to see what an overweight website owner is up to. They are wrong. It’s not my whole life – it’s just 99.9% of my life.

So today I thought I’d share with you what I did for the other 0.1% of the day. Or the other one-tenth of a percent of the day.

I watched this video. It’s a walrus doing sit-ups, and I found it on a blog belonging to someone from the Liverpool Echo.  It’s not even a sports-related blog. Trouble is though, as soon as I watched it I thought of one person and one person only.

Not because I think anything doing sit-ups would have a similarity to Duncan Oldham, even if it does look like a huge blob. No it’s because if you ever go that bit of the zoo there’s always a particular aroma. Like Koptalk, there’s something fishy about the Walrus area in the zoo. And of course no sooner do you get away from that part of the zoo and you are near an area containing unusual breeds of bull. Which, as you guessed, also reminds me of a certain Newcastle-based website.

Anyway, that’s today’s one-tenth of a percent. Maybe I’ll make it a regular feature, if I can keep allowing myself as much time away from Steve and Jeanette’s handywork.

A tinker too far?

The owner of Koptalk, Duncan Oldham, has been tinkering like crazy with his sites recently in an attempt to stop this blog, and also others who are taking their own actions against him without any encouragement needed from us. Some of his tinkering will no doubt be to the options in the software he uses, but maybe he’s also been in and edited the source code too.

We laughed when we discovered this earlier today, but we didn’t mention anything here, we didn’t want to spoil anything for him. He’s only gone and broken his forums..

The forums @ koptalk.org are playing up today. A problem kicked in a few hours ago when clicking REPLY or ADD NEW POST. The quick reply feature works fine.

These are the error messages:

WHEN CLICKING ON REPLY:

Any help appreciated. Free Gold Club sub in the offing ;-)

So generous. He drives round in a car that cost him 40 grand he says, he’s thinking of buying Chris Waddle’s 300 grand house, he spent thousands on his new telly and satellite box, and the Koptalk site is bringing him in an absolute fortune. He’s even been out for a new camcorder and who knows what else to improve the site, so he says. So what does he offer to someone who could save his site? A free subscription to the Gold Club. It’s not even worth what he says it is (30 quid) – but if his site’s as valuable as he says, surely he’ll be offering more than that. It doesn’t even cost him 30 quid does it?

We had more of a laugh when we cut and paste the error messages into a notepad-style utility before posting it here. The character in the error message looks different then. Here’s a screenshot -

Now either that’s the funniest coincidence in history or the wittiest hacking incident in history. Mr BS himself has been hit by the “BS”.
